I think its ridiculous to judge him at this point. He got hired at the end of last season. There is but so much he could do. And the crying and shock over this season? I don't get it. This was a season that had to be sacrificed. Phil Jacksons job can only succeed through drafts and free agent signings. I think next season they had better at least make the playoffs, and then after that they better be contenders.
Having the leagues worst record is the BEST thing that can happen for the Knicks this season. They need high draft picks. Seriously, how much did the most optimistic fan think they were really going to win? Maybe 15 games better? That would serve only to move them down in the draft and NOTHING else. Think about the 1983-1984 Chicago Bulls. Won 22 games. What was the result of that?

This site is so desperate to shyt on the Knicks/Phil because of their various inferiority complexes. This roster SUCKED coming into this season. He's embraced the full tank, which we need, because there are star bigs in this draft, and he's keeping the cap clear for the next few offseasons. He's going to strip down, and try to build around a young star piece and melo, which is all you could do.
Next season this team may have Okafor or Towns in the middle, and all of the sudden their future looks super different. Simple fans like you would rather him trade for josh smiff so you see a name you recognize.
