No "worthless" is not the same as saying "you won't see the benefit we designed it for"

If it was, you would not have felt the need to change the verbage.

This is just an attempt to reach for controversy by playing dumb, as you stans always do.
“You should buy [the Xbox One S], because Scorpio is not going to do anything for you,”
AKA the Scorpio is worthless if you only have a 1080P TV. I'm just calling it like I see it.

Of course he won't say "worthless" because it sounds harsh but essentially that's what he's saying. Read between the lines.

But I'm saying, if he said that devs can use the power how they want besides 4K, than that means if a game is enhanced but not at 4K, it would benefit anyone who has the console.

He should've just said that some of our devs will really make use of 4K gaming but even if you don't have a 4KTV(yet), there will absolutely be advantages to owning a Scorpio"*examples of games getting graphical boosts that can be easily noticed even at 1080P".

But he himself said that 4K isn't a mandate. Visual boosts doesn't come only in the form of higher resolution. He's basically creating confusion when it doesn't have to be so complicated.
what he's doing is trying not to make the regular joe xbox owner rush out and spend all that cash on a scorpio with no 4k TV. and he starts crying about how he wasted all that money for not that much difference.

sure like i said in the other thread. devs that develop for the new system can do so while sacrificing visuals and turn up other features. but will that be worth that crazy price tag? depends on the person for most the answer is no. so let phil spare most of us while the rest of us goes and gets that 4k tv to be ready to eat when scorp drops.

why is it that i knew exactly what he was saying but yall didnt?

Ok, so the ONLY reason this console is being made is to run games in 4K and VR correct? Every game that releases for Scorpio will be available on Xbox One, but it's not worth getting one for unless you intend on getting into VR or want to play in 4K.

It sounds like a bad idea brehs, I'm sorry... and he's saying it's not even worth copping at all for the performance boost for existing games.
:what:

What?
You muthufukkas just play dumb:snoop:

It's built for 4K gaming. You don't have a 4k TV there is minimal benefit in you buying it.

It's just like if someone said there's little benefit in getting a 360 if you are still working with a SD TV.

And there is no performance boost to existing games unless they already use dynamic scaling, in which case the res would be locked at 1080p. That's a very minimal upgrade and not nearly worth spending all the extra money for.

He's actually trying to be honest, and Yall too stuck trying overcomplicating things.:smh:

the performance boost for current games will be very small. it wont be worth the dollar amt.
i'm telling you that price tag is about to be out of this world in comparison to anything we've ever seen in the console world. . he's trying to make guys like you brace yourself and not even check for the system . if you're a 4ker pc gamer type then you will be all in on this scorp machine.

That would be misleading, and trying to sell it to the wrong market.

I gues you Sony stans are used over promises and hype, so honesty is a bit confusing to you :smh:

Considering that the 360 was a next gen console and had way better graphics than HDTV, this isn't accurate.

Even if you couldn't play in HD, you could still tell that Halo 3/Gears looked way better than anything on PS2.

:what:

How is saying that the Scorpio will benefit 4K users as some of our games will render at 4K and even for those who don't own 4K, the visual boosts and enhancements make it a better place to play our games misleading? :snoop:

Tell your consumers that your console isn't worth it brehs.

Those early multiplat games, the only difference was resolution. You had a SD TV you were having nearly the same experience as ps2.

And these systems were worlds apart, not the marginal upgrade that is the Scorpio.

Because people without a 4k TV will not get the full benefit, and they would be better off buying an X1.

He's not developing the games, he can't say what devs are gonna do with the power, if all devs decide to go 4k and not do other stuff, then he just mislead millions of buyers.

This is just bullshyt. I bought a 360 and had a SDTV for a few months before I bought a HDTV and the difference between it and a PS2/Gamecube/Wii Game was massive.

NBA 2k on 360 looked WAY better on 360 than on PS2. :camby:

If someone without a 4KTV buys a Scorpio are they somehow now ineligible for a 4K TV purchase in the future?? They could still market it as future proof.

This forum...

:snoop:

Either way, whatever. I just didn't understand why he would say something to the effect that you probably should not buy a Scorpio if you don't have a 4K TV. He cleared it up a bit with the giantbomb crew.

It's marketed as a 4K console plain and simple.

You want 4K gaming, buy a Scorpio.
