Haha i hear that man, I think you're right about most of the hole in the wall spots not having whiz, and they almost always chop the steak up real fine with the american almost liquified in there, they're no joke.
Personally I like the steaks chopped up like that instead of the "South Philly" way lol. When I'm drunk and or in spots that don't chop it,up its all good but my preference is the chopped cheesesteak.

Absolutely it's way better chopped, I don't see any reason to not chop it other than laziness.

I don't know if you ever had John's Roast Pork if you haven't you gota get there asap man. It's on front and snyder, in my opinion it's the best cheese steak in the city hands down. Chopped steak on a seeded roll. Once they're out of bread they close which is usually by like 2-3 in the afternoon.

The best cheesesteak I had in that state was from this lil sub shop outside of Philly in Chester....I can't remember the name but that shyt was ON POINT! The cut of steak, the fried onions, the provolone, fresh amoroso roll:whoo:

Bout to order one now, good thing we got a couple of good spots in Bmore..I'm bout to feast

Born in Denver. From there it was 2-18 in Cali then back to CO for school. Then it was South Jersey/Philly for 6 before coming down here to FL for work.

That spot was always my go to.

Jim's is the best I had so far, their cheesesteaks are on point
