Not sure Id be laughing if I was one of the people that sincerely believed this team could do well this year and this was the result breh.Why are you guys getting mad, ya'll wanted to lose, all for Towns or Okafor right

The most bizarre thing that I'm observed this season isn't how bad we have been playing...
It's the fact that the "tank set" is in here happy as if it's apparent that the Knicks are actually "tanking".
It's fascinating because I'm realizing that considering that Melo is still grinding out significant minutes, our players are getting injured and many games are close down the stretch... is actually very clear that we aren't "tanking".
I feel some type of way about the "tankset" feeling chummy as if the Knicks are proving their basketball management strategy is efficient when that's absolutely NOT what they are doing.
I'm now convinced that this is purely a defense mechanism for yall to get through the season.

This team is not doing this intentionally. .The coaching is not sabotaging the season. This team is actually terrible. Tankset should get off their high horse because that is not what they are doing. This better serves the fans who wanted them to maintain their dignity as a basketball organization who would rather see anything happen than their team intentionally losing on some bytch shyt.. They are going hard and play to win, but losing. I can't ask for more for this flawed team.

This is well thought out and a reasoned reply. You're right, dude. The Knicks are just terrible and will continue to be. I just hope Phil Jackson has like a 3-5 year plan. I don't see us getting better next season either. Melo getting older. We're wasting his prime years. The door's closing fast on his career. I bet he wishes he took that Bulls contract instead right now.
I feel like Phil just isn't the mastermind he's made out to be. He's got his name power but as far as putting together an organization to scout out gems in free agency (the only way we can fast forward improve) I don't think he's got the team behind him to do it. Rockets has a nice team that can pull that off. Weirdly, I think Isaiah Thomas was an excellent College scout. But I haven't seen in Knick history they pull off good signings from D League, Europe, washouts with potential, etc.

I really want Gasol and I think if he is the key signing... we actually cod build something around him and Melo to create a substantial power in the East. Plus we have a draft pick which looks like will be a high pick.
I'm not counting next year out in just a little confused at how some people in this thread are acting like, "See, yea... YES! Go team tank! "
The term tanking is as miscued as the term pawg in this forum.
The same way every breh on here calls every semi attractive white woman a "pawg", any team that is losing is "tanking."
No, the team suckered and you are not correct that that is the strategy that should have been taking place, especially when the team is bad enough to still try hard enough for fans to see a bad team play hard instead of getting cheated out of their money.
With the turmoil happening in the locker room...I couldn't imagine seeing what kind of fickle would be going on if Melo & others felt that management was intentionally fukking up rotations for the Knicks to lose.

Have faith, he's done good so far. Maybe not a mastermind but very competent. If he is able to move any one of JR/Shump/Barg/Stat/maybe Calderon this season then I will consider him a mastermind
True I wouldn't say they're tanking but when you lack the talent, are learning a new system both offensively and defensively, and have a new head coach that looks lost a lot of the time you really don't have the option to win.
