Last time Boston was in the playoffs, they were knocked out by the knicks.

The knicks have the best player on either roster.

that being said, they looked like shyt, which is to be expected. new system, less talent, less experience... we'll see how it shakes out.

Guys are going to have to know the triangle before there is any consistency... because learning it is hard.

Remember when some of the DIII posters in
this thread were saying its an easy system to learn? :usure:

Patience will be key this year.
Who said it would be easy ? And man can't you stop taking shots at your own fan base :snoop:

Based on....:what:? No one outside of Melo is safe so Shump still has done time to show out
Am I the only one who read the shump trade talks over the summer, as well as the report that the Knicks have no interest in extending him???

And why are people in love with this guy? Some team will overpay for him next year anyway. The dude ain't even worth what JR makes. I hope he does play well, so that he can be traded by Feb.

Phil already turned down 2 trades for a late 1st rounder already

If Phil wanted him gone he'd been gone by now. He likes him, if he performs he's a part of the puzzle moving forward. Better learn to accept it.

Shump and these perennial injuries are a bad look though. His reputation is taking a hit as being unreliable and injury-prone.

I'm at the point right now where I don't really believe much that he says about his health or outlook on the season.

With that said, I enjoyed his defensive effort, but he needs to more disciplined. And he has to work on that jumper, passing, rebounding, and handles....(oh wait...)

:wtf:

Phil has already come out & said he likes Shump. If they do decide to move anybody, it's probably JR. (but i hope they keep all 3)

I think they move JR if a good deal comes through because JR is 9 times out of 10 going to opt out and get paid. The knicks have his bird rights but considering the cap increase paying JR close to 10 to stay could hurt the team a lot going forward.

I think the knicks might keep him if the price is right, I really can't see JR being a knick past this year. He has a player opt out and the money is coming due to the new tv deal. I mean right now Jodie Meeks has a better contract than JR Smith. No way he doesn't opt out to get paid, as long as he doesn't do something stupid (easier said than done for him) he could potentially see double his current salary somewhere.

Lol thanks breh... But how I remember it was that you misunderstood what homeboy was saying

On the triangle:
I feel the same. Also with player's familiarity with Michael/Kobe, and a general knowledge of the triangle (if ANY of these guys even remotely studied or watched game film growing up, it's exponentially less hard to grasp).

Bold Prediction: The Knicks master the Triangle and become the envy of the league

Jordan => Melo
Pippen => JR Smith
Paxson => Calderon
Grant => Stoudemire
Cartwright => Dalembert

Kukoc => Bargnani
Armstrong/Hodges => Hardaway
Harper => Shumpert
Rodman => Acy
Longley => Jason Smith
Salley => Outlaw
Randy Brown => Prigioni
Caffey => Early
Kerr => Larkin

Yeah, maybe I misunderstood them. :knickphil:

Season is going to be up and down... I'm ready to strap in.
