hold up hold upppppp... @I.V. is getting jumped in here? he's a made man in this syndicate, boys.

i can't read through all the back n forth, but i'm pretty sure it stems from trying to be realistic...which i think am too. i would not be surprised at all if we don't make the playoffs, and i'm not the type of fan who'll argue or get hyped off of somebody disagreeing with me.

so if yall wanna get at me for shyt like Iman Shumpert bashing (like that new pathetic video on WSHH with his 10 total career offensive highlights of putback dunks only), feel free. :smugdraper:

Making the playoffs is our only goal for this season...and its definitely not guaranteed.

Oh ok maybe I misjudged your post :heh: I thought you were being serious I don't really see you joking that much in here , you make fair points man . My biggest things from the preseason that jr/melo are passing like I wanted to see which is great . But shump :scusthov: and Timmy defense is still horrible which is worrisome . I can't see us being worse than last year but for now I'm scaling back my prediction of a top 4 seed until I can see someone else step up on the team , I am liking the ball movement they are trying though much more refreshing than last years
@I.V. is always cracking jokes. :davehuh:

Like I've said I can see the argument for both. If the Knicks don't make the playoffs they get a better pick, and this year is a Big Man draft.:ehh:

If they do make the playoffs I can see that as a positive as well since it will be easier to pitch to Marc Gasol (choice 1A) who is currently on a better team that can pay him more and guarantee him an extra year. Arguably the main knock against the grizzlies is the west is tougher and they as constructed are a middle of the road team. The knicks will need to show that with Marc they can be a breakout team in the East, or they might have to switch the plan. Maybe the knicks will acquire a superior defensive wing and try to convince Noah to go to the knicks in 2016?:yeshrug:

Either way the knicks motives and moves are a mystery this early in the season. shyt they may try to make the playoffs and still end up in the lottery. It's really to soon to tell and debating it here is pointless this early in the season.:manny:

I still think STAT should start, as long as there is a defensive presence next to him at the 4 or 5 :yeshrug:. He has had his best games with the 1st unit, and dude has shown that he can score in the post with no problem. The P&R game has not looked good cause he is barely out there with anyone who can run it correctly. Right now, NY is one of the worse passing teams I have EVER seen. They cant feed the post, cant catch a roller in a position to go straight up, and cant pass out of traps for shyt. Yall need another ballhandler tbh, I actually think yall big man rotation is fine as of right now.

Call us Lucky Luciano & Meyer Lansky then.

I could care less if he created the site, condescending is condescending.

Quid Pro Quo...if he digs at anyone, people dig back. No extra feelings caught.

We could all still have good basketball convo after. :manny:

No jumping... just some disagreements.

You know it's always been like this... new fans show up, get excited in the off seasons, and then get upset because you are not as unrealistically optimistic as they are. Long and short term strategies get debated... player values get debated... validity of opinions get debated.

I've been posting like this since forever... I've had to block a bunch of people in this thread (and really, this board) because of a lack of additive quality.

But it's fun to me. Never that serious. In that post above, I said I was raising my kids to be a combination of Ben Affleck and Kevin McHale.

Right now I'm looking at the Giants/Knicks/Yanks... and everyone is mediocre. That famine is real.

Question...

If we do get Gasol... To provide a bit of that defensive anchor. A resigning of Stat(when I say resign...I mean a salary of a metrocard, fruit rollup & knee pads every month, not some stupid salary.) How does Stat's offensive output w/ Gasol backing up the paint & Melo at the 3 sound?

Or is Stat just Joe Pesci in Casino..waiting to get taken out of the picture?

:patrice: I hope you're not directing this at me breh. I've been posting since the sohh days in 06 so I'm not someone just jumping in here out of no where.
Like I said before I understand you being a realist but things aren't the same with this team anymore. We still have limitations in some areas but with the moves we will make and the fact that were in the east means we have pretty good shot at the playoffs.
I could see if we still had mike Woodson running things but their is gonna be some changes for the better with this new regime. You can call me delusional if you want but I'm a loyal Knicks fan.

When the Knicks used to battle the heat in Miami in the late 90s early 2000s I was in the stands. Seeing heat and Knicks fans go at it like it was a war was no joke. I even worked for the heat in 2002 during my first year of college as an usher. Used to have that Houston jersey under my uniform for after the Knicks would ether the heat I'd just give heat fans that surprise and they'd give me the:dwillhuh: Got fired from that bish tho cuz I'd hook up my brehs and fam with open seats behind the visiting team bench:lolbron:

To this day I'm still hitting up Knicks games in Miami and now that I live in the Orlando area you could be sure #knickstape is present. We could discuss Knicks shyt all day and keep it cool breh breh ain't no internet geeks around here:youngsabo:

I think 2 things:
1) You don't want...even at a much lesser salary... to be factoring Amare's health into your plans.
2) I really, really think he needs to go somewhere else to finish his career. Not to say I believe in bad juju, but I think a fresh start with smaller expectations and a smaller contract would be good for him. (He should go back to Phoenix. Best med/physio team in the league.)
