It's not about minutes... It's about activity level. He's played 10 minutes, has no rebounds. He's not active on defense... it's disappointing. The last two games have been like this also.

He may ramp it up, let's see.
I definitely don't agree with him not being active on defense. We all know steals doesn't = good defense...Shump was part of the defensive assignment on Lebron last game that kept him out of rhythm. I have no problem with how Shump is playing tonight so far, especially since he's active offensively

I'm sorry but from an 82 game dedicated Knicks observer...

Dalembert has already been worth trading Tyson...

Ugh. Dalembert is so immobile on defense, I can't stand it. He also can't rebound outside of his zone.

Tyson was a defensive player of the year for us in our best season.

He did a good job on LeBron, but LeBron being out of sync - IMO of course - has less to do with the defense and a LOT MORE to do with him and his teammates being too key'd up for the opener. I'm glad they kept him from scoring, but he missed open shots, pressed himself into bad ones.

I'm a shump optimist (shumptimist?) but I can't honestly give him credit for that. It's reaching.

That being said, we want him to be aggressive on offense, so there are certainly good notes there tonight.

Shump is a rotation player at best.

Correction brother, Tyson was DPOY in his first year here...where he caught one of his many head colds right before Miami in the playoffs.
