@DPresidential Do like I did & take a break from this thread. I'm watching the games whenever I can & I'm not parading around saying "I hate this team" or "I didn't even watch the games". What kind of fan is that????

Word. Take a break @DPresidential - There is not much to say at this point. Just let it ride. Stay a fan, you fought the good fight. Let them have it for now. We still outchea but we cannot beat these circumstances.

Posting should just probably be limited to game observations, trade speculation, and offseason prospect talk.

If we win a game or two, you will be derided for your optimism because it ruins the 'tank for the draft goal'....and if (and when) we continue to lose games, you should find it within your heart to support the failures of the Knicks organization and then verbalize it in this thread. You can still call yourself a Knick fan, I think. (Its not necessarily being a fan only in good times....is it? When you disown the team when we lose and only supporting the team after a win?)

Reconciling all of that can be confusing....but it is possible if you view the team dispassionately...so I fell back a long time ago - I want to be excited about the Knicks. There is not much good news to talk about at the moment. I don't know what the SURE solution is. One 2015 rookie is not going to fix the Knicks...even if he stays healthy.

@I.V. and @The War Report will turn out to be right regarding the long-term advantage of having a bad season and potentially getting a good draft pick. Props. There is nothing wrong with giving an objective, honest, and sober opinion on the state of the team. Even if the truth is distasteful.

With that said, some may still support the team and try to find some positives from this season. It looks bleak right now but at least they didn't jump ship. Or should they become Golden State Warrior, Memphis, or Toronto fans now, since those teams are winning at the moment?

Let's keep it together #knickstape. We all have different views on the teams current state and how we want it to build. I trust what Phil is doing because hes been doing this longer than some of us been alive or watchin basketball. Coli critics may say Phil isn't a president/GM and he's better as a coach ( he has his name clout around the league and the expertise) or fisher is no good as a head coach( it's his first year )he will learn. Were all in the same boat whether we like it or not. I still watch Knicks games but am not invested in them like before( I don't wanna suffer an MI lol). But remember we will be ok

but real talk, this tanking is bad for business. tanking should not be rewarded, they should have to pay a penalty tax if you dont win at least 18 games.

that being said, this is pitiful

its ok to realize that you may not have the best squad. but it is not ok to purposely flush a whole season down the toilet. the whole organization top-down needs to be held accountable.

Actually, I'd put this on Phil before I put this on Fish. There were some guys out there that we could've probably scooped up for cheap that could have helped us. Every time teams made moves for decent role players I was wondering if Phil had something in the works but he just stood pat confident in what we had

Dolan loves fans like you who just want the hope of playoffs every year even with no shot to go anywhere.We've been doing that forever and it's got us to this point.

What good for the long term would have getting a very good role player who may have helped us get 30 to 35 wins and fight for an 8 seed done for us? Don't tell me fa's would be more inclined to come here because this roster is pretty much getting gutted this year and the next anyway.

Our only hope to ever contend is to get a very good fa or two while also having a stud rookie on a rookie deal.Simply getting a very good player to pair with Melo and nothing else would not be enough.

I'm 34 I've been watching this team since the late 80's Iam tired of the constant chasing of mediocrity and people being ok with it I want something we haven't had in nearly 20 years..a team that can CONTEND for a title and the only possibility of that starts with getting a high pick and hopefully getting lucky in the draft.

Honestly, there's no reason to talk about them on a national level, except to use as a punching bag... for fans that 'hate new york' for whatever reason.

Rondo is a free agent after this year and I'd rather have Goran Dragic than Rondo as my PG.
