He's 2-3 years away from really being something IF he pans out.

He should be able to play right away, but the Knicks HAVE to get a center to play with him. He's not ready to play if you're putting him on 5s, but he can get away with playing the 4 right now, Nerlens Noel was 226lbs for most of the season, you can play if you're skinny as shyt.

I guess I just don't see it like that. I agree with whoever said it earlier, brehs really wanted to spend the #4 pick on a role player, and I just don't fukk with that at all. If you're a losing team with a top 5 pick, in any sport, you take the dude with the most upside.

If there was some decision to make between Kristaps and a stone-cold clock and we took Kristaps I'd be mad, too.

But "we want to compete now" is the exact reason why the Knick's franchise has been in the trash for the better part of the last 15 years.

There is no combination of a player we could have drafted and this free agency that makes us compete.

None.

If it takes Kristaps 2-3 years to turn into something than it's going to take atleast two free agencies to turn this 20 win roster into something anyway.
