Trading Melo would get them back quality young players to fill out the roster, open up caproom and give development time to Porzingis & Grant. The problem is that Knicks fans only want the quick fix, it's why the team buys out Chauncey Billups to sign Tyson Chandler, without thinking about it and realizing they may need that amnesty provision for Amare.
The quick fix doesn't work, and Melo is 31, it's been time to face reality.
At first I disagreed because I think teams like the Nets Celtics and Raptors could easily fall out but then realized the Pacers and Heat will make it so you're talking maybe one spot open
