I feel the same way, lol. I'm more into the laid back look now. That's not over the top but still has appeal. That glamour look isn't what's up anymore unless you're with your significant other or it's a special occasion. I'm tired of my feet hurting and having to pull my dress down every five seconds, lol.

Whenever I wear heels I always bring a pair of sandals with me. Like I just can't wear heels for long periods of times :mjcry: It is just soooo freaking painful :sadcam: I love heels, but I am mostly a flats/sandals girlfriend

That is interesting...I ran into my acquaintance from high school. She goes to Howard university and is majoring in Nutrition and plans to go to dental school. Her father is a teacher/pastor and her mom a nurse. She told me about how she felt somewhat insecure because she did not have the latest outfits, her done every two weeks, and etc. She told me about how there are rich kids there that come from all over. She said some of the women there would not let her into their circles because she just did not have on what is trending. When she came back then she wanted to go on a shopping spree, but said her mom told her that she needed to relax and not get caught up in all of that and remember what she went to school for.
There is a youtuber that I watch and she spoke about her life in D.C....She said that if you are a woman tha tenjoys hanging around the same clique, dressing up, and going out for dinner/brunch and looking fly then D.C. is the place for you.

Yep very true...insanely clickish but there are some gorgeous women at Howard though...did test the waters and mess around with a chick from Howard who was also a AKA awhile ago, I took double, capital sized Ls on that one...my god.

Does your family dislike her or anything like that?

I am actually considering moving to Philly for Gradschool. I am going to apply to temple for grad school :ohhh:

she comes off as pretty standoffish. maybe cuz she's puerto rican. but my fam is used to interracial marriages cuz my little sister's husband is while. however my wife is black. everytime she's supposed to come out here for the holidays, she ducks it and gets out of it somehow. but my bro be letting her pull that shyt, so maybe he's the sucker to be honest.

also the fact that my brother in law can't get along with her screams red flags, cuz he's the type that gets along with anyone. hell, he works for a mexican tv station here and don't speak spanish and still able to make a lot of friends there.

Word. If I'm with. My girl who I will take out to dinner cause she's my girl, then sure we can get dressed up. But why should either of us be uncomfortable upon first meeting, we're probably both nervous so we should at least both be comfortable. Although if we feeling each other you may not have to keep pulling that dress down.:shaq::shaq:

Lol that dress moving up your behind is not comfortable. I'm not trying flash anybody.

I wear heels to work pretty much every day but they're the comfortable ones. When I used to actually go out to clubs, I could probably stand up for an hour and then I'm done, lol. I would to go to the VIP sections and ask random people if I can sit down with them if we didn't have a table of our own. It's just not worth it. I'm now a flats/sandals girl too when going out.

Right. What does he consider DC hoes? Cause that girls pic says she's from silver spring @Qohelet ??
I know where he's at. You might be the exemption as well as @Amethyst but my dating experiences lead me to believe that DC is the worst major city for serious dating as a Black male. No other city comes close. By far the worst. I do have to say, never have I dated so many women with so many accomplishments professionally and personally in my life. If it was just me, it's one thing but most of the dudes I know who relocate say the same exact thing. After awhile we come to realize it's ya'll.

I remember women complaining about men from Atlanta. I used to feel some type of way then after I moved I realized women were right. We had our pick of the litter. In DC, it's like everyone is fighting for the same man. If you got looks you will be easily chosen for :eat: but don't do the dating thing. Please don't do the dating thing. If she thinks you are fine, she'll cook for you and it will be terrible :dead: Even then, DC has a high STD rate and best believe she has you on a rotation like she's the Nats or O's manager.

Black women with no soul but ya'll classy and pricey. Man, I had to get me an Queen from the South. I couldn't do the DC area dating thing. Like I said, it ain't everybody but for a fact, it was everybody that I dated with maybe one exception and she was the worst of all. I got love for the ladies here for their goals and ambition but a lot was lacking. I suggest seeing someone that piques your interest online and date them long distance and do the travel thing. DC men fukked up too for the most part if they from here. Everything is about urges and impulses and that's from the good dudes :mjlol:

Good luck to you all.

To answer your question: The DMV females. The worst- DC, I don't know why either, I just stop thinking about it. Sistas get horny if you work for a top firm or company. Like a company makes her click wet :dead:. The most sidity and likely to wench, NOVA. Whenever I go to my church at Alfred St, it always remains true and of course Maryland is the best but it's not much better.

Honestly, it's the best hookup city I've been to if that's what you are. Even Atlanta ain't like that if you don't want it. Here, it's forced on you or take that L.

That is exactly what she planned to do. No first date should be over $20. Take your ass to Coldstone and creamers and laugh over some ice crram. How can we be a couple if we can not even laugh together? My firat date with the man I'm with now was laughing over some brownies and lemonade at Barnes and Nobles. We then looked at some books together, laughed, and talked.
She just wanted to stunt and show out theb throw him in the bushes afterwards.

I'll give my anecdotal experience. My first date with my son's mother, I took her to pappadeaux and she was like "I kinda want shrimp, but I also want lobster". So I told her to go ahead and get it. She ordered the surf and turf and subbed the shrimp for the steak....then got a key lime pie to go. Breh's, do not do what I did. That first date set the tone for our relationship and I'm still paying for it to this day.

How did it set the tone?
