In regards to women offering to pay/go Dutch, all decent men (traditional or otherwise) appreciate women who GENUINELY offer to pay/go Dutch. And although many would accept those offers, many (if not the majority of) men refuse to allow women to pay for dates that they arranged. You can attribute that to pride, traditional values insecurity....whatever.

What men have a problem with though is when women offer to pay only do so to either: 1. save face when they have no intention of paying (and you can tell based on the timing of their empty offer b/c some usually wait until after you pull out your wallet to pay OR they wait until after you pay with your cash/credit card) or 2. establish boundaries, which defeats the purpose of the date altogether (i.e., she feels that she isn't on a date so she's paying for herself).

Men just don't want to be played. We want to make sure that the juice is worth the squeeze.

I get that you all appreciate it but in a traditional dating scene, men always pay and if a woman is bought up to follow and value traditional gender roles she's going to be taught that men always pay. That's why I go when men say they want a traditional, submissive wife but then say they want a woman who offers to pay/go half on this site.
