sony was the first to get in business with bluray and patent that shyt thats why MS went with that wack ass HD disc bullshyt that got thrown in the bushes after a few months :bron:

but like i said i answered the fukking question, u just keep dancing around that mufukka bringin up other shyt instead of realizing sony was the first to follow the "future" trend of disc technology and now MS is following......so u stick to keeping your disc clean and unscratched until that 720 breh while i throw my shyt around the room with no worries

Microsoft didn't adopt either technology And the reason is because we didn't need it this gen.

Name a single game that has more content on it because of blu-ray, I recall 5yrs ago sony tried to force companies to fill up blu-ray disc with content the developers looked at them like GTFOH
So then some developers started adding lame shyt like anime movies with the purchase of a game. That was about it. You paid $600 so sony could try to make money in the long run. They didn't reward you for it, they charged you $200 after your PS3 caught the YLOD. And blu-ray beat HD-DVD only because sony paid off Time-Warner and one other company that was pro HD-DVD. Payola bruh, and sony has been near bankrupt ever since.
Also, the BD drive in the ps3 is slower than the DVD9 drive in the xbox
Because of this, its mandatory to install games on PS3 because the drive is so slooooow. And bigger blu-ray disc that is out now can't be used in the ps3 because its drive is so sloooooooow (did you know this?)

Secondly, Blu-ray LOST to DVD. DVD's are still more popular. Blu-ray is basically Beta-Max. Beta-Max had a run longer than most "children" remember.

But anyways, Uncharted 2 was only 4.5gb, then the rest of it was sound in other languages. MGS4 was supposed to be 50gb, but 40+gb was used for 1080p cutscenes which was the majority of the game, and the 7.1 surround sound. The actual game? less than half a DVD9 (Tru Story)
