Well don’t seem like they are in the business of investing in those smaller experiences to keep the service fed. Would take a huge investment I don’t think Sony is willing or able to make right now.

More like you hope they can't or won't. There's no way Sony won't respond to Game Pass. It's going to be a challenge for them but hopefully they bring forward a service that's compelling in its own way. They can work with third parties and indie developers and fill out the service more.

Im just being realistic Sony don’t have Microsoft or even Disney money. They especially don’t have a lot to risk on gaming as that’s the main thing keeping the company afloat right now.
We just read the story about them canceling smaller project and closing smaller studios. We see from other successful steaming/subscription services it takes a huge up front investment and willingness to take early losses. I don’t see Sony doing that any time soon. They may be more aggressive with getting their games to PSnow faster or bundling stuff like you said before, but I just don’t see them spending the billions it would take to have a competing service to Gamepass.

Microsoft got so much money, they lose more by not playing with it.
beside that Xbox directly and indirectly makes them a bunch money.

The evidence of the article and the current launch window titles of the ps5 say different though. Whats been the most heavily promoted games so far? God of War Ragnarok, Factions, HZD:FW or....

I see the same game, just with a different protagonist. That gets old for people. Sad thing is, it wasn't my purchase habits that forced them to this conclusion. I bought all of that other stuff. Y'all didn't, that's how we got here.

I feel like they're more afraid of Xbox controlling the PC landscape more than anything. Xbox seems strange to me, it's like they care about the consoles and yet don't care about the consoles at the same time. It seems as though they care more about selling a platform, that's why Phil doesn't oppose the idea of Game Pass being on PlayStation or Switch.
