Astrobot: Part of the Sony didn't fully support the platform. This is the best game on VR with Wipeout slightly behind.
Spiderman: Mentioned, read again
Dreams: Took six years to come out. They had to send something out.
Little Big Planet: Moribund franchise now because again, outside of the first one, y'all didn't buy it in masses. Sure, Sackboy things will sell but not like they did with LBP1

Turn 10 and Playground Games makes two different types of racers, one is simulation and one is arcadey. Gears and Control are not made by the same company. This point is not applicable.

Again, this point is not applicable, we are talking about one publisher and the development teams underneath it. What Activision, Capcom and others are doing is not the point so don't bring in other companies to try to give your point some cover. This is about Sony and Microsoft.

To that point, it's not. You once had Jack Tretton and even Phil Harrison that were not scared to diversify the lineup. Now you have Jim Ryan who only wants blockbusters. You once had Don Mattrick pushing for televisions to be the focal point of Xbox to Phil Spencer buying tons of developers to make new games. The names on the front of the jersey are the same, the names are on the back are different. Who's to say that Microsoft's gambit won't fail, it's always possible. By that same token, Sony's place in gaming is not guaranteed. Especially when the competitor in question has decided to actually try, i.e. spend money in spades. So now. There are some similarities to that time but in the event you haven't noticed, a lot has changed as well, not just the on the surface stuff.

Having access to games that I would probably never purchase if I didn't have them to load up and play while waiting on new games isn't a bad thing. Just like most new music I listen to on spotify.

Everyone is waiting on games right now, being able to play from a huge selection of games including day and date new ones and enhanced older ones.... I just down see the downside as a consumer. The service would have to be like 29-39 bucks before I i'd even actually start to think about "is it worth it" for a on going subscription.

Two more years in, that's liable to be what it'll be priced at.

Microsoft has the superior technology, and the best value for gamers. Since I’ve been rocking with MS since the OG Xbox, I have access to literally every game I’ve purchased online for the past 10 years, in addition to all the free piff. Those without money can get an Xbox Series S with a multitude of free games for a fraction of the cost. The game pass is clearly the best thing to happen in gaming.
