A friend of mine who like a brother to me been acting erratic for a lil bit now

Doing shyt like blocking his close friends #s and social media accounts, talking to himself on social media among other things

We all had been tryna reach him for sometime but even when u talked to breh u can see sumn is off

This is a very intelligent breh, worked for multiple Fortune 500 tech companies, a young breh

Bread and relationship wise my nikka was straight

This weekend he got charged in connection to a shooting that went down 1 minute from where I was at the time.

36 year old dude wit a kid is dead, and two families lives bout to change forever.

Brehs please don’t be afraid to seek therapy when your mental isn’t feeling strong. It’s ok to feel weak and uncertain, we humans not superheroes. When people show genuine love and check in to see how u doing, make sure u reciprocating that love. Can go very far and build trust to let those around u kno u got their back too.

That advice is lost here. Dudes were laughing at that man crying in his car at work. Calling him weak, lazy... Most people will never empathize with mental struggles until they actually live it. We have a long way to go to shake the stigma of "crazy" people. Most times when you have a mental illness you don't get nearly as much consideration as having a physical ailment. No days off, hard to get treatment. People think you are selfish, weak and even annoying.

Mental health issues are still highly misunderstood and thus the response to people going through it is inconsiderate on average. Time for change. When you see someone isolating themselves they usually depressed.

A nikka crying on IG is way different than the situation in the OP where a dude is shooting at people. Crying nikka could hop on glassdoor tho..

I mean, my mans wasn’t crying on IG but if u talkin to yourself on IG it’s likely a cry for help, just like crying on IG a cry for help

i know the feeling of being so emotionally raw that you lose complete control of yourself and your thinking. it’s even worse when people decide not to take the situation serious or offer help. at least you did all you could, most would just call him crazy and not try to understand the deeper trauma
