Well, for starters, I don't know about this thread @Ronnie Lott.

I got whooped as a kid and I probably won't know how I feel about physical discipline for children until I have one of my own, BUT I do think that you can get in trouble for whooping your kids now.

I could be mistaken, but I always hear people talking about how times have changed and that if your kid were to show signs of physical abuse, child protective services could investigate and POSSIBLY take the kids away. Don't quote me on that because I never had to deal with it, but I used to teach little ones and they used to tell us to be on the lookout for stuff like that. Might have to sift through the trolls later to see what informative posts come out of this.

Can't lie. Always wondered how cops went about this as well. What if they show up and the accused guy goes, "What? I'm not even gay. That's my boy, but he's trying to fight."
