Worker cooperatives = total State control :blessed:
Ask cultural revolutionary China about worker cooperatives on a wide spread scale breh. At the end of the day it was still controlled by the state because you need centralization for it to work in the benefit of all. You can't have a complete system of cooperatives without some state control at the end of day. Who would watch the watchmen in this case ? More than likely a centralized body like ... The state. Otherwise I don't see it working. I know we have a few here in the US like fat tire brewery but I get the impression you guys want to change the whole system. Educate me breh on what you personally believe if I'm wrong on what I think you're aiming for. This thead is full of one liner replies tbh.

I agree with socialized aspects of society and believe some public functions can and only should be socialized (schools, military, law enforcement , etc) and have no problem with cooperatives for example in individual cases like what I said above with fat tire.

Most of the problem is you refuse to just define basic terms first.

Socialism, no matter how great it sounds in theory, always fails.

Capitalism, though flawed, is the only system that works long term. However, its important to have some socialist safety nets in place to make sure people can't take advantage. I think the ideal scenario would be a healthy, balanced mixture or both capitalism and socialism. I also have no idea what i'm talking about so take this how you will.

Socialism does not necessarily mean State ownership of the means of production :snoop:
That is LITERALLY what socialism means
