When did I ever say anything about whether or not they should be paying costs?? Just read:mindblown:

It doesn’t matter what she SHOULD be paying. The reality is there are still costs. This quarantine got you nikkas acting real dumb.

You have to pay a mortgage, tax, insurance, maintenance. That nikka acting like landlords pocket all revenue without any costs.
Govt is freezing alot of those charges

Maintenance isnt gonna be as available to most anyway due to work stoppages, that's a discussion that needs to be had with the tenants

People are not gonna put up with entities completely ignoring a cotdamn pandemic man, doesnt matter who send a bill, it's just not gonna happen, people will riot first and no one wants that. Easier and safer to just shut up and help each other until this gets sorted out by medical experts and the govt

Again even after her costs she should still be making over 200k a year net profit. Which would put her near the top 1%. she's probably had it for decades.

You don't just have a 32 unit building and NOT set aside the funds for maintenance etc

wont the landlords just evict everyone? because there are prolly some potential tenants who WILL pay the rent, right? the striking tenants can just be replaced.
A lot of cities and counties have placed moratoriums on evictions. You can't even file the paperwork.
Tenants knew that before they made the joint decision.

This person has at 32 units. She should have alot more shyt figured out. She should have lawyers on deck. Not reddit. I'm sure she could call somebody from the state about tenant law or to ask about some kind of Small Business stimulus money.

Times 32 units. Times 12 months equals over a half a million a year.

If the apartment building has 32 units how much did she pay, easily over 2 million for that building, probably didnt buy it out right and has a huge mortgage.

Second, probably has a third party building manager along with wear an tear that comes along with a 32 unit building.

Not to mention everytime a tenant leaves that unit has to get professionally clean

Now even after all of that anyone making over 500k is subject to a tax bracket of 40%

Which mean her take home is probably 270k-ish

Not including the mortgage on the house she actually lives in.

We dont know if she has kids and pays for there college or private school

So instead of negotiating partial rent or something amenable, they decided to let the owner know they won’t be paying?

Is she some sort of slumlord or something? That’s so jacked up.

I’d be working with the lawyer to ensure none of their leases are renewed and to actively recruit new tenants as soon as humanly possible. Also doing what I can to make sure they have adverse reports on their credit/rental file.
Good luck finding new tenants during a global pandemic.
