Plies still has a shyt load of strip club anthems that I hear though

But I don't pay attention to him like that so I have no time frame of when they came out

I just know they came after his mainstream run

This Plies intelligence shyt is overblown like a muthafukka.Just seemed like an average dude to me.

You'd think he peeled away his goon mask and revealed himself to be Michael Eric Dyson the way nikkaz be on this "Plies is so intelligent:krs:" shyt.

I guess when put up against the backdrop of being a goon, maybe that makes it more impressive:yeshrug:

Boosie is a gawd in my city

Plies was "exposed" very early on down here and pretty much lost his male audience here before he really blew up like that...

Boosie will flop when his sh1t drops if and ever it does.

plies was never on boosie's level in terms of status.

boosie is like pac status down south.

hell, plies himself even did a song honoring lil boosie a year or 2 ago.

.
Plies' first album sold more than any Boosie album. And he's had bigger hits than Boosie has had.

I mean, Pimp did put him on ... maybe that's where the wires got crossed :patrice:

(For you nitpickers - yes, he was from PA, but he repped Houston equally :beli: )

c-loc put boosie on. i know what you meant tho.

besides, i cant speak for dora but the general public outside of the south has no clue that pimp c had anything to do with trill enterainment.

its not about sales. you know that breh.

plies was popular but he never got boosie love. nowhere near.

when boosie got booked, he was neck-n-neck with gucci. no rappers were messin with them in the south at that time. none.

and i still dont get the thread because now that i think about it, plies NEVER hid his "intelligence". only thing that got revealed by other parties was that he was a valedictorian. nobody really cared about that tho. the most you can say is that it fueled the fire that was already circling around plies being a phoney.

Yeah, that nurse Plies shyt and his intelligent interviews gave it away too early. He should have waited till his 4th album before he did that shyt.

Black women fell in love with him when they heard "Shawty". That image was the reckless/ignorant nikka they wanted. Then he started talking and revealed he was educated which killed it for him. Trinidad James better take heed. I still listen to his 1st 2 albums.
