But back to what I wuz sayin,I can't cosign this thread,I wuz lookin to be able to shyt on these nikkas after Plies dropped another classic on they heads....but dudes music just got dumber and dumber,I don't know if he wuz tryna overcompensate for the college shyt or just tryna keep up with how dumbed down the rap game got....but u might not have liked the way he wuz sayin it or the accent he said it with,but Plies early shyt wuz pretty intelligent,dude wuz kickin game,took me back to them old bay area classics....sayin it wuznt intelligent is as stupid as writin off everythin E40 says in alotta his raps cuz he might sound goofy in his delivery...bruh wuz like a old head droppin wisdom.


Fastfoward and its just so many dumb azz lines and stupid songs about nuthin...and he's screamin those lines louder than ever...he still drop good shyt here and there and shows flashes,but he def went to hard for that female fanbase.....dfference between Drake and Plies is Plies actually had the streets and nikkas but pretty much forgot about that and just startering catering to females and droppin sub par shyt....its hard to be looked at as a rapper who's "for the bytches" and still keep the streets checkin for u


That advice Pac gave Biggie wuz horrible that "If u cater to the females nikkas gon buy it so they can play it when they got females in the car" shyt...I don't even know if Pac meant it the way rappers seem to think he means that shyt now when I see them quote that.....Pac didn't do that him damnself...one or 2 anthems for the ladies yeah but half the album....if u catering to ratchet women they like the same shyt that nikkas like,and will listen to a jeezy record with or without female tracks....u just seem to lose the streets by catering to females from what I've seen.

They can't promote them in the same capacity... as they don't have the appeal MMG has.

in all reality, Plies never had mainstream appeal... his radio songs did, but his music as a whole didn't... that's why once those hits ran their course so did those type of fans.

Webbie and Boosie know their lane, and they stay in it.

Why would they promote such rappers to a market that doesn't care for/appreciate their type of rap?... that's counterproductive for both sides.

the person who's more likely to cop that Boosie,Webbie or Plies album is probably the least likely to cop that Wiz Khalifa album or that Wale joint.

Plies isn't exactly hurting for money..and had a good run, right now he's out there making music for the folks that want that type of music.

So Webbie gets the promotion budget as Wale' and Meek Mill? Anybody agrees with this?

Plies purported himself like he really lived his brothers life....when in reality the nikka played college football, and went to college for nursing.



there is no need for any in depth analysis to the dynamics of ignorant rap and it's how it's received by listeners.... this shyt isn't dumbing down anyone, nobody ever got stupid from listening to Plies.. just like listening to Beethoven wont make a dumb nikka smart.
