i remember that plies/jamie foxx joint being on 106th & park. i dont know how much they played it cuz i was done with videos by then. but i know they played the hell out of it on the radio.
anywhoot, i rocked with plies 1st 2 or 3 joints but lol. you dudes actually thought plies was a real goon? i knew from jump that he was pump-fakin'. it was blatantly obvious.
as far as his career, he had his time. he fell off because his quality went down. he didnt crossover to middle-america, so atlantic(who didnt get along with him anyway) felt no need to continue forcing him on the public like they did with T.I. for years after he fell off.
its that simple. a rappers run as a marquee act usually spans about 3 albums or 3 to 5 years at best. most of the rappers that linger around longer, 9 times out of 10 are beneficiaries of label & industry politics, or are hanging on via sellout music.
