And also elements such as lyrics, flow, creativity, substance, delivery, everything that makes up an artist. Limitless aspects though. Pac is my GOAT because he had the diversity within his music, has so many classic songs, KRS-One up there because of the incredible content and music he's done, the unique way he would tackle topics, styles, so much, and K-Rino up there for incredible lyrical ability, amazing diverse body of work, that emotionally touches you and verbally impresses, and Nas for aspects amoung many great albums and classic songs, and certainly creativity, he has a lot of concept/creative songs which I really respect.

exactly don't respond to that bullshyt me against the world all eyez on me 7 day theory etc
are all classic albums.
But are they groundbreaking though? And this isn't a question of opinion - but rather what the consensus is.

i don't care about consensus in regards to what i personally like it's irrelevant because what u think is classic i might not think is classic
im basically not conforming to anybody's opinion or view of things.

This...

That choice wasnt listed so i picked entire catalogue.

Lets be reality: i listen to certain artists EVERYDAY 9/10... lets use Curren$y for example. but people would call me crazy if i had them listed higher on my list than one of these nikkas who gets no play from me a la Nas/Rakim/KRS One

that's where i'm at with it. I'd put nikkas like Chamillionaire or Mystikal in my 10 over consensus greats like Nas or Rakim because I spent my formative years jamming their shyt religiously.I never fukked with a Nas album and not for lack of trying. But you sound like you don't know shyt about hiphop when you say 400 Degreez>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Illmatic...but...fukk all that. Its opinion. Its valid. If YOU think Curren$Y better, he better :manny:

u missed an important category. most great songs. song for song >>> classic album to me.

in that case, Pac, Krs, Scarface, Nas, Ice Cube.

with the edge going to Krs just for his rap dignity.

Some people have awful opinions though...consensus is objectivity (to a degree). You can't just say Lil Zane's album is the GOAT and then be like - "well, that's my opinion".

well that is if u have no basis for it like u saying it just to be saying it.
Its an extreme example - but it illustrates the principle. Put it this way - if you have 100 bonafide hip hop heads, and 99 think Illmatic is a GOAT contender album - but one says its not - that's valuable information to have right? That 99 out of 100 say yes? Therefore - consensus has value in this discussion.

1. Content, but not in the complexity of the lyrics, just the content and stories they deliver - I could really care less how many multis and metaphors you can spit
2. Flow delivery
