Trump is going 8 years and there's going to be serious talks about ending term limits for the president when he wins the next election. This is not what I WANT to happen, but what I fully believe WILL happen.

At one point you may think this was hyperbole but Republicans have shown they don't care about norms and only about maintaining power at all costs. If Donald Trump gets another term, most likely RBG and Kennedy will not outlive his term and in fact may just be like fukk it and retire since it would be a hopeless situation. All the issues with Gerrymandering and the attempt to address them will run into more and more roadblocks as not only is the Supreme Court stack but federal courts will be stacked to kill any progress on that front. With those power structures cemented, they will probably do as you say entertain term limits being increased to maintain power.

Depends if Dems can create a front in the House and Senate. Control of both can turn Trump into a lame duck or shift him to a more moderate position. Confirmation for judges and other legislation would be met with resistance if not appealing to dems.
I would rather he did not get 8 years but Its a better alternative.

Bernie lost by 4 million votes and he lost fair and square. But the political reality is despite that, by looking at the following map, its easy to understand who would have had a better chance of winning the general and Bernie would have been a better general candidate despite losing the primary. There are a lot of states that were safe Democrat or state Democrats weren't ever winning that Clinton was able to gather her 4 million votes from. Not saying they are not legitimate, but the Clinton campaign should have looked at this map and said "Damn we got some work to do or we may lose in November". Even Bill Clinton reportedly told the NY campaign offices that they will lose states like Wisconsin and Michigan unless they change strategy and Robby Mook and friends told him "the data says different" and basically told him to shut up. The states she needed to win in Nov are the same states she lost to Sanders in.
Instead Hubris and Arrogance where she didn't even campaign in some of these states and refused to help volunteers in this states allowed her to lose by slim margins.
Its almost criminally negligent how terrible they ran their campaign, especially given the stakes. You have White Supremacist Donald Trump running and decide to run a terrible campaign thus giving him the ability to win.
