People are idiots, whats new, turn off the god damn news

I watch the news to find out whats going on as far as roads, power, train service... the interviews are always stupid as hell and meant to do nothing but generate ratings

I`ve gone out of my way to avoid it honestly, i`m not glued to the news, just passing by and the callers into SPORTS radio come in with this stuff.

you'd be surprised. this girl i use to fukk around with lives in new york and i was talking with her yesterday, just seeing how she was after sandy. the bytch had the nerve to talk about how sandy was worse than katrina. i was like :comeon: and she was like :damn: for the whole conversation. i even threw the :umad: at her and started laughing at her. that's what really pissed her off. i admit, after a while i was just fukking with her because she was getting so pissed. and this was a girl that went through the whole storm with power and no damage, complaining as if it was worse than katrina. but she's from one of those privileged homes out in long island that has no idea about shyt like that. she lives in manhattan now, but growing up her family was well off, white, and snobby. what's worse is she sent a text to one of my other friends bytching about how i laughed at her and then got into an argument with that girl over the comparison too. when i ran into the second girl all i could do was :lolbron: because you could tell she was pretty pissed at me for bashing her comparison, and laughing at her...

What does her dumb ass opinion have to do with most new yorkers who don't feel that way?

I'm in NY....and in the past 5 days, I have never heard ANYONE say this until I stumbled across this bum bytch you call your dumb ass friend.
I seriously question the circle of friends people surround themselves with at times.

Stop letting some idiot bytch you call your friend speak for all new yorkers. She's uniquely stupid and is in your circle.

I haven't seen any New Yorkers crying in fact i've see most of them like ":manny: we lost some shyt and we got out, we good...i gotta go to work in the mornin'"

If you comparing this to Katrina you are a dolt, Katrina was a "perfect storm" of bad shyt happening all at one time. From the levees to the political assgrabbing to the racial elements...it was all bad.

this was just lower manhattan, and some parts of BK and Queens that got hit...and still none of NY was hit as bad as Jersey.

lol @ all the trash that was gooped up in the subway by the storm surge though

Lmao chill out, you sound mad, i was using her as an example. I'm fron new york myself so no need to trip. You must got problems if you feel the need to lash out at me over something someone else said. Smh...

Lmao. You tripping for real. You're going to use one woman as an example, a woman i was openly bashing anyways, as an example of who i surround myself with? I dont even live in new york anymore so how am i surroudning myself with this girl? You should just shut the fukk up. You've got no idea what you're talking about and it's just coming off as anger for no damn reason...

Blah blah I hate NY blah blah

Blah I'm going to make super generalization of people suffering and compare it to another bigger tragedy for laughs over the net and pretend to be tough blah blah

Giggles

I`m from NY myself, whole life, and I see the OP's point.

I love NY, but I am also aware we always make our shyt more grandiose that everywhere else. We like to think we got it the most.

Kinda like how MSG is the Mecca for basketball but in reality there hasn't been shyt in that area for decades.

It's just a bit much when you hear people on the news talking about how their streets are flooded and then think of Katrina with people sitting atop their roofs with SOS.

Then you got the people complaining about sitting at the gas pumps and not having power etc...

NY just over-does it with shyt.

None of what you typed has anything to do with the myth that NYers are crying more than those in Katrina.

Nothing.

every single night i put on NBC nightly news i see and hear all these fakkit middle class to upper middle class New Yorkers crying and babbling on. yeah i get there was some damage but i never saw Hurricane Katrina victims crying like this and most of them are piss poor

these New Yorkers have money to fall back on and the best care coming to them when overall during Katrina they were left with shyt and to fend for themselves. barely heard them bytch till after the fact. these fukkers actually lost their communities in New York there is just some water damage except maybe a few select BLOCKS

to be honest i could care less about either people but its just an observation to be made

NY is the media captial though, so I'm not surprised TBH. :bryan:

Chill man. Let them people get on with their lives

They are just in a position that they are not used to. They are built to withstand snowfall and snow storms but not hurricanes.

for Example: Did you know the temperature once dropped under 34 degrees in Miami and we had to declare a state of emergency? Houses in Miami are built to keep cool at all cost and withstand hurricanes so South Floridians cannot adjust to such temperatures but a hurricane is nothing to us as we see about 4 to 5 of them a year. Some more violent then others. If a snow storm happened down there it would be a catastrophe far worst than Katrina while t the rest of the country 34 degrees and a little snow is like whatever.

Same thing in New York but in the sense that the place is not engineered to withstand hurricanes.
