I get it now. The muthafukkas doing the whining are the Staten Islanders living in Archie Bunker land.

shyt like this is why I sometimes didn't mind Staten Island wanting to secede from the rest of New York City like they threatened to do when we had a black mayor here. Their sense of entitlement disgusts me. Its no wonder McCain won there.

Rockaway and Breezy Point caught it very badly, in Breezy Point over 110 houses burnt to the ground. With that said nobody is comparing this to Katrina. Sandy damage was quick and caused by flash flooding and storm surges. Long term damage is fires/lack of gas/ power/ food etc. Katrina's damage was caused by mass flooding that stayed dormant for days and ppl were trapped in their homes and couldn't get out. Sandy only lasted a couple hours and the storm surge only lasted a couple hours, but the damage to houses along the coast, especially by me in Rockaway was crazy. Fires from people's gas tanks exploding burned down blocks in a matter of minutes. N this was going on while there is neck high water surging through the streets, with fuel and debris running through it. Monday night was one of the most intense nights of my life n there were times I thought I wasn't honna make it. But let's not b stupid n act like it even comes close to Hurricane Katrina that's just dumb.
