This shyt is straight retarded. Ginobli was added as a starter in game 5, right? (Coaching move). Which player sits, and which players are rotated during the game is a coaching decision. Also, Pop is the one motivating Danny Green to shoot as many 3's as he can, regardless of how many he makes or misses. He knows what he has in his players, and where they need to be in order to make the shots that he (the coach) thinks his players can make in order to defeat the opponent.
coaches are like the old saying for quarterbacks: they get too much credit for success and too much blame for defeat.
to put a spin on this, id say hes getting this credit because hes schooling what is in reality a really mediocre coach. you say theres not much difference in top of the pile to the bottom, id respond to that by asking what other coach/team beats this Heat team by 25+ twice in 5 games? not many

I swear, you can just damn right tell who ain't never touched a ball. Muthafukkas think that this shyt just happens...magically.
Lebron James and the heat organization are incredibly stacked with weapons as starters and the bench. This shyt is chess, it ain't checkers. You have to outsmart, and outplay them...at their game...which starts at the coaching position then trickles down to the talent.

Fine, i won't argue with why he inserted Ginobli, but if YOU were the coach, and seeing Ginobli performances thus far in the series, would you really have inserted Ginobli in game 5, like Pop had the balls to do? I'm sure you'll have a reason to say yes, but most would probably hesitate in doing such a thing. Pop obviously saw Ginobli during warmups hitting his shots, gaining confidence, as well as the lineup change, and made the move which proved to be a success.
And the Danny Green comment, was just something that went viral when they mic'd up the Spurs bench. Danny Green isn't a superstar, so as a coach, wouldn't you have to instill confidence in your player because you know what he's capable of? I'm sure it's difficult as a young player, , with nothing but superstars surrounding you in the biggest stage, to have confidence to do what Danny Green has done thus far....but I'm sure the confidence of his coach has helped him achieve the results that Pop knew Green could accomplish.
Point of all this shyt, is that Pop is involved, a strategist, and a great coach in every sense of the word.
Danny Green made a bad play pop pulls him to the bench and chews him out. He goes back in the game playing hard as sh!t. Even blocked Lebrons fast break. That's excellent coaching. Making players better than they are. Tony Parker was like the 27th pick and I think Ginobli was like 46. He made these guys into HOF type players. How many times was Danny Green cut in the NBA?
Now if Spo was a good coach he would start Haslem or Anthony. Mike Miller will just allow Ginobli to go apesh!t again.
