Blues and Gospel music is largely the basis of all American form of music. That is strictly African.

Both those genres have a portion of influence from white christian culture black people converted to. The Fisk Jubilee Singers for example had a number of their songs written by Stephen Foster, a white man, while most of their music from Slavery work songs and older spirituals. As we converted to christianity, we combined those influences with traditional african traditions and created something new, revolutionized music.

African American music is derived from their experiences in the new world, it is not African. It is American.

This kind of reasoning implies African Amrtican Slaves had no cultural musical influences from Africa. Like they were musical clean slates.
That's the whole point of that myth. African American slaves had no agency in their lives; they were barely even people.:mjpls: They had no knowledge, education, talents, skills, personality, life stories or anything that would make them human. As soon they were taken off the ship the white man was so powerful he could erase minds apparently and turn people into puppets or zombies:mjlol: .only us though. not africans, carribbeans, asians, native americans etc

It's mixed, yes there was influence from european music styles but you can't forget the actual african influences.
no.

and i just asked AI.

The origins of blues music can be traced back to the late 19th century in the Deep South of the United States, where it evolved from African American work songs, spirituals, and folk music. It is believed that no single person invented the blues, but many people were instrumental in its development, including minstrel show bandleader W.C. Handy, Jelly Roll Morton, Ma Rainey, and Henry Sloan.

Black Americans created those genres (jazz, blues, etc) by using their own influence and european classic music.

The job was done by black american.

Western music was stuck. Black american ignited a new movement. They were the actors. White people did not know what to do with classic music anymore.
First of all Jazz music is the Blues. There is literally no difference.

Second of all African societies also had classical music. The harp, flute and lyre were around thousands of years ago in Egypt. Additionally the Empire of Mali also had classical music and paid professional musicians going back generations playing instruments like the Kora, balafon and the forerunner of the banjo. So the slaves brought all that musical knowledge from their homelands and they forged the different music's together. White people had never heard any of that type of music before encountering Black people.

That's straight cap, he's getting shytted on in almost every reply and getting ratioed by specialists.

You did the same thing on that other thread trying to pretend he was as famous as Joe Rogan :mjlol: Yall have see-through agendas where yall try to rile people up and create fake outrages but yall are terrible at it:dead:
He's popular with younger people mostly. Not pushing back will result in people repeating said lie until it becomes "fact", even in the face of contradicting evidence.

Exactly. Gospel comes from "Negro Spirituals", which were Christian lyrics adapted to songs sang in the fields by Slaves straight off the boat.
Gospel music has a lot of connections to call and recall when slaves were in the fields. Some historians have also pointed out the similarities that it shared with the Muslim call to prayers in West Africa.
