So how is gambling an addiction then? Isn't it just a "bad habit"?

Also, how is a "bad habit" less harmful than an addiction?
It wasn't stated that bad habits are less harmful than an addiction.
Also, the act of watching porn has not been proven to stimulate the dopamine release like gambling. Now, on the other hand, I would say that sex addiction is a real thing, as it deals with the reward center of the brain same as gambling.

Villa Straylight.
The bigger problem might be men(mostly) are not getting real sex in their lives so porn is their only sexual outlet. Its far easier to watch some porn than go through all the hoops of trying to get someone decently attractive to fukk you.
People don't really care about men unless it involves what we can do for them.

Pretty sure being LGBT was just removed from the DSM as a mental condition with the latest version.

I would "assume" you can get addicted to anything...

My question would be, how does one distinguish an addiction vs simply really liking/enjoying something?

when the usage (chemical or activity) impairs your social life, professional life and/or health. and you know the usage is impairing you, but you still can't stop

If a bad habit isn't less harmful than an addiction, the distinction between the two has no practical importance.

In both cases, you're hooked to something :yeshrug:

There is practical importance that arises when you’re trying to quit. Physical withdrawal is a beast, and doesn’t exist with bad habits

This is clear for addiction to substances.

However, on that point, porn and gambling are on the same boat, despite one being formally qualified as an addiction and the other not. In both cases, you will have certain people that claim physical withdrawal (stress, inability to concentrate, insomnia, etc.).

Those classifications remain shaky in my eyes, especially with the rise of the internet. We will see.

I realized porn was bad when I couldn't get hard to a broad in front of me. The embarrassment..... When I say I wanted to commit that:picard:
That's probably more so you than the porn, ill beat it to porn multiple times and fukk on the same day.
