The three teams that should be most interested are Denver Boston and Orlando
Problem is those teams are probably thinking there will be better options coming along for trade between now and February and would rather wait than overpay for a rental
Denver
Orlando
Phoenix
Minnesota
Hawks could use Tyus Jones and Muhammad as backups and trade Rubio to Philly for Okafor. For Delaney and Millsap. Save 10 million dollars. They would have cap space, more youth and depth. No real legit prospect with star potential but Okafor still can grow and who knows if he's as limited as he's shown so far.
Dennis/Tyus/Tim
Baze/Tim/Muhammad/Bembry
Thabo/Kyle/Prince
Moose/Scott/Kelly
Dwight/Okafor/Splitter
Let Muhammad walk in the off-season.
While we would have 48,347,025 in capholds, we would, you could have a cap of 68.4 million which could be 35.6 million in cap space. With that, we can spend our cap space signing Ibaka, Durant or whoever else. Is this likely, no but just saying. Now clearly, you could just get Tim and a couple others to agree to a deal before with their cap hold.
Orlando clearly can use Sap with Ibaka. Gives them versatility but it's clear they will look at 3 team trades for Vucci Mane. Orlando almost signed Sap and Sap fits with Ibaka and Gordon. They can also offer Atlanta a prospect in Hezonja who has struggled with Orlando but might do well in Atlanta in our system. It's highly unlikely Atlanta will trade him in the same division.
Denver has Chandler and another struggling young player in Mudiay who could help us.
Phoenix would have to offer the most. Us taking Knight isn't ideal and we would need Bender or Chriss in ANY deal where we have take back Chandler or Knight.
