Millsap is EXACTLY the player Toronto needs.

Their window for contention is closing as Lowry is already 30 and is due for another contract this summer.

but LeBron still exists and continues to play in the EAST,

who would you think they be willing to give though for a potential .5 year rental?

Toronto doesn't have anything to offer.

We would like lottery picks or a young player with potential.

Toronto doesn't have any of that. I would look to teams like Utah, Orlando, Boston, Minnesota and other teams with assets.
Norman Powell and Delon Wright show promise
Siakam too

Millsap to Toronto changes the number of teams in Contention and shifts the entire Landscape.

Millsap to Orlando, Minnesota, or even Utah doesn't put any of them in Contention.

Get the fukk outta here with them nikkas man. Seriously, would you trade for them? No. Stop it. We need promising talent. Not more Tim Hardaway Jr. or worse. Maybe for Thabo or Kyle Korver but definitely not for Millsap. I wouldn't even trade a mid first for both of them nikkas combined.

Teams we would entertain:

Utah

Phoenix

Minnesota

Orlando

Washington

Boston

Sacramento

Milwaukee

OKC

LAL

Denver

For a Half a year Rental? why wouldn't they?

What other team is going to give up anything of value for a half a year?

The only teams that would do that are those that are almost, but not quite in Finals contention.

BOSTON, TORONTO, CLIPPERS

He's not a rental. Any team that trades for him will have his Bird Rights. A rental would be Whiteside last year. On top of that, he can opt in as well which is a possibility.

And he's a top 25 player. He is a factor that could push a team in the West into the playoffs or a team in the East into contending and seriously having a decent chance v. Cleveland if we are talking about Boston.

Please note, I am negging stupidity.

I would still think Boston needs another Point Guard.

Your best player can't be point guard @ 5'9"

in terms of what?

All three of teams would really like to make the playoffs. You think Millsap doesn't make any of them that much closer?

Hawks better not be stubborn like last year and hold on to him like they did with Horford. Even if they can resign him, it makes no sense not to trade him, because the Hawks are just treadmilling.
