I agree, I don't see the appeal in those uber luxo land barges when you can get a similar model that has most of what they have luxury wise and is a lot more fun to drive. I mainly see geezers in those full size German sedans around here. Give me an E43 amg over an S550 all day, not even factoring in that it's $25k less. As far as leasing I know a guy that buys a new German car witin 2-3 years at a time. This dude is a car salesman's dream, it boggles my brain why he doesn't just lease instead of trading in a new car every 2-3 years.
I mean I would get an A7 over an A8 any day and I think they cost the same

That dude might be able to get better deals through purchasing. If he switches cars that often the costs are the same.... but if he purchases he might be able to beat them in the head on price. Big thing is whether or not he trades in or not. You are right, he could just be an idiot though :lolbron:

The IMS thing is a little overblown. You get one either with a repair done or do the repair when you buy it and you're good.

The Cayman is great, but it's not special like the 911. You can get an Evora or 4C and have a somewhat similar experience. But there's nothing like a 911. It's an icon. Plus the fact that Porsche held the Cayman back makes the 911 that little bit better, for better or worse. I do all my own maintenance too, and the 911's better access would be key.

The IMS fix still scares the hell out of me and I read somewhere that it is not a 1 and done fix. If you drive the car a lot you would want to replace that part every few years. A turbo 911 is in my future. I don't know when, but that will happen.

Yeah that 392 is a beast, but it is the interior that gets me. The one I was looking at was 45k but I could not get over how cruddy the interior was. Plus it was an automatic and you cannot widen the tires in factory wells. For the amount of power it puts out it needs 295/305 width rear tire. You get 275's only. Also the m3/m4 is a hell of a car, and comes with a stick and a really nice interior. The E90 was a great car. If I am cheap for my next car a 335xi sport with a manual my find it's way into my garage.

I like most of the offerings in the sedan class but when you get in to the feel of the car and really start looking at the details the imports have the american cars beat. That is a shame because I really want to buy american but cannot bring myself to do it. :francis:
I was just reading about people fitting 315s in the back of Chargers.... it can be done. I had the same disappointment with that 328i. It had a nice design, but all the surfaces in the car felt like.... Tupperware lmao. Rubbery and strange. The M3 is a cool 1000lb lighter than the Charger though with better balance... it def has a better feel. And if you like stickshift :francis: Friend of mine has a Challenger SRT and it was not too bad, but it felt like a boat. I didn't like it. But performance wise it def gets the job done.

They make BMW's that don't come with leather?? :dwillhuh::dwillhuh::dwillhuh:

Most low end BMW's and Mercedes come with faux leather. BMW called it leatherette back in the day. We have it in our old x3. It has held up very will with very little maintenance. Our kids have beat the hell out of the interior in that car. A vacume and damp rag cleans it out nicely. I don't want to think what it would have looked like if we had leather.

Hmm I wonder if they are rolling the fenders or adding those flares. I love the look of the car. I just think about running it in the mountains and having a good time with the family. The no manual is a bummer. You are right about the inside of the new 328's its a shame that the inside looks so cheap on a very exepnsive care. You have to click off a few boxes but the dakota leather option is very nice

Thats the new thing with a lot of newer luxury cars. Got family and friends with the newer jawns and they don't have leather. My man just copped a e300 and it comes with mb tex.

The good thing is I think it'll last longer and the girls can't tell lol but I know that that's been the standard in that market for a minute

Cars as a whole weigh to fukking much. I get all the accessories and options add weight but come on. The Lexus LC is a small sized coupe with a back seat that's practically unusable but weighs as much as a Dodge Charger SRT :mindblown:

Sport cars are terrible: virtually all road (unless you live in Germany) has speed limit which defeats the purpose of fast cars and they are uncomfortable as hell to ride and terrible fuel consumption.

If i'm dropping major bread on a car, that shyt better feel like heaven with super comfortable car seats, plenty of leg space and room, GOAT entertainment unit etc.

The only advantage to owning a fast car is that they are hoes magnet and head turner but from a practical standpoint, they are trash.
