Nobody ever said Kanan was a genius and mastermind. The only thing his character did successfully was manipulate a sheltered teenager. People got in their heads that he was some all-knowing kingpin. Maybe the narrative all along is that he was always a lil' on the dumb side, but grew up reckless and violent. He's been making dumb and misguided decisions from day 1, and even in the OG Power wasn't the smartest MF in the world. The night he died was because he got outsmarted by a kid and decided to go out in a blaze of glory.

Ehh,, he outsmarted Ghost twice.

Tariq's beef was his dad neglected him. He didn't turn street until he fell up under Dre and "Slim", "Slim" became what he dad should have been and what Shawn used to be, but he taught him all bad shiit,

He could've simply moved into a new place of his own. He had the bread, instead he moved in with his girlfriend and wanted the kids to s[end weekends. Terrible father

I don’t know about that. Bearded Ghost was a demon. Bro literally disrespected wife that whole final season and told her straight to her face that he “just lost the love of his life”, pulled a gun to his son’s face and gave him his own “suicide letter” for the cops and straight up shytted on Tommy, Tate and Dre (well Dre deserved it). He just didn’t give a damn anymore.
