How do you know if the outlets are on the same circuit?
What stir fry said.
It all depends on how your house is wired. In my case I have 2 floors and they are on desperate breakers. I wouldn't be able to have an adapter downstairs and one upstairs. In most cases the kitchen is on its own breaker, laundry room, garage. If you are trying to run an adapter from your living room to a bed room, it may be possible it won't work. Figure out what outlets you want to use the adapter first, turn on the lights in those rooms, if you turn off a breaker and both of the outlets shut off then you're good to go. If only one shuts off then they're on different breakers and it won't work.

Thanks brehs. I think I'm just gonna go with a wireless router. Seems like it'll be less of a hassle to set up.

Just bought a house. Anyone have experience with these? Is it worth getting or should I just stick with wi-fi?

How big is ur house? What are u looking to do? Lots of gaming/streaming?

Typically a nice Ac router in the middle of most small/medium houses should give coverage all around. Wifi travels out, then down so a high central location will help. If you're gonna game, a hard wired Ethernet connection is best to reduce latency.

House is about 1400 SF. Probably gonna game 20 - 30% of the time the remaining will be web browsing, Netflix, and downloading movies.

Yeah a ac wifi router should be fine. If u value online gaming def look into hard wired Ethernet.
