his is a classic case of not understanding something and reading tweets and social media,
It's just an idiotic take. Social media's tendency to reduce everything to simple statements.
Pras was involved in a long running scheme from 2012 to 2017, according to prosecutors, to influence US elections, obstruct justice, influence US foreign policy towards China,
the simple version is he took A LOT of money from Jho Low, a Malysian national, who embezzled billions from a state run hedge fund, when Low was indicted, and on the run, in China, he gave millions to Pras to try and influence Justice Department officials to drop the case or back off or whatever-----
When Pras got on the stand, he claimed that he, contrary to the prosecutors narrative actually was trying to help the FBI, during this time, 2017, about the Chinese governments attempt to influence US policy regarding Low.
He wasn't some kind of confidential informant, in 1996, he's saying in this specific instance I helped the FBI, when they interviewed him, whether it's true or not, I don't know, but it's apart of his defense. Also, in a case involving national security, it's not like he was informing on illegal gambling or drug trafficking or whatever Kyrie is implying. He's saying I told the FBI I sat down with Chinese assets to help the FBI, I wasn't helping the Chinese.
