Give me the player with heart fukk all this percentages because they don't tell the real story. They don't tell you AI had to take bad shots because he had no one on his team who could create their own shot meaning whenever he passed to a teammate and they would spend 20 secs to create a shot then decide to pass it back to AI with 4 secs left.

Billups and Rips didn't have trouble scoring on Iverson.
Reggie Miller was scoring on Iverson with ease too.
U also gotta know that Snow was always the one defending the opposing team's best perimeter score.
T-Mac was a more versatile scorer, Durant has is more efficient in scoring, Durant has never had to go 4 consecutive 82 games seasons without another bonafied All-star. Don't give me this 36 games nonsense as if 36 games is the end all and be all. Playoff baskeball is a much better indicator of a players worth...plain and simple. My argument stands T-Mac without injuries would have been among the pantheons of NBA legends....Kevin Durant included.

The Sixers startd the season 12-2 with Iverson averaging just 22/5/5 on 38% shooting in those games which shows that they didn't need him to dominate all the time to win. And they were 6-5 without Iverson including beating a 53 win team on the road without AI

My position isn't that Durant isn't great.. He's great....my only statement from the very beginning was that had T-Mac stayed healthy he would have been in the discussion amongst the all-time greats and that includes Durant.
Obviously there is no way to prove that, however, since this is a message board many of the threads deal with hypotheticals, if the standard was that you couldn't have a hypothetical discussion in a sports forum, the forum itself would be sparse.
Additionally, if T-Mac had Westbrook....it would be safe to assume he's efficiency may have went up. Just how Iverson became a little more efficient playing with Melo.

Why didn't he have anyone who could create their own shot? Because he couldn't get along with them. He had the perfect set up of a chucker...a bunch of other dudes who were content doing dirty work while he chucked away. You can't have it both ways and try to act like he was in some fukked up position that he didn't want to be in.

your obsession with efficiency stats is bizarre. the goal is to win games. not have the high shooting %. i posted stats a while back that the team that leads the league in fg% RARELY wins the title.
Durant can be greater than AI. No one denies that. But he's done NOTHING so far of worth to warrant that consideration SINCE he's won nothing. Sure AI didn't win either, but he put in a decade plus of legendary work. Let KD put in comparable time and then we can talk. But to determine whether player X is better than player Y based solely on shooting percentages is RETARDED.

I'm not a fan of T-Mac. I just let my eyes determine who is better and not the stat sheet. All these clowns are singing KD's praise simply because he shoots a few percentage points better. And this coming from a guy who said on the record that he follows his shooting numbers and will not shoot half court shots eventhough his coach pleads from him to do it at the end of quarters.
T-Mac is the most talented player at the wing positions I have ever seen next to Kobe. I actually hated dude for much of the early 00s cause nikkas were trying to say he was better than Kobe. But I can't deny truth. He was dope and could do everything. If he stayed healthy who knows what he coulda accomplished. Only think KD does better than T-Mac is catch and shoot off screens and rebounding. Everything else T-Mac is better. Better ballhandler. Better passer. Better penetrator. Better creater off the dribble. Better defender. Better post player. Etc.
