Because Brick is an inconsistent nikka, some games he shoots below 10 shots or below his chucking average when he tries to get them assists up with padding. Plus, those years coat tailing Shaq had an impact on those numbers :usure:

so can you also say that those years plain with shaq is a reason why his career ppg avg isnt higher

or you only use that when it suits your argument :jawalrus:

:mindblown:

12.2ppg on jumpers, vs 14.9ppg on jumpers, such a huge difference.

And, just for fun, Bron shot a better percentage on jumpers than Kobe this year :troll:

Uh, he should. Hes six years younger. The fact that a prime 28 year old is barely better than a 17 year vet at 34 years of age shows how great Kobe is. :umad:

Lebron and Kobe have played each other 19 times, Lebron's team has won 13 of those games with Lebron beating Kobe in scoring, rebounding, assists, field goal %, 3 point %, steals and blocks.

At age 28 when you compare their career stats, Lebron leads in every category across the board.

Lebron is #2 all time in the Player Efficiency Rating behind only Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant isn't even in the top 10.

Lebron crushes Kobe in the win share statistic.

At age 28: Kobe 3 NBA Championships, 0 MVP's, 0 Finals MVP's. Lebron 2 NBA Championships, 4 MVP's, 2 Finals MVP's.

First round playoff exits or Missed Playoffs entirely: Kobe 5, Lebron 2

Current Career Playoff Stats:
Lebron
28.1 points per game
8.4 rebounds per game
6.6 assists per game
49.1 fg%
37.5 three point %

Kobe
25.0 points per game
5.1 rebounds per game
4.7 assists per game
44.7 fg%
29.3 three point %

Welp this should pretty much wrap this thread up. But I'm sure one of you nikkas gonna come in here on some bu bu but in January of 2004 Kobe scored 47 points in 5 straight games type shyt. :heh:

better stroke:

:dahell:
better 3 point shooter:
Career: LeBron James 33.7% Kobe Bryant 33.6%. Season high: LeBron James 40.6% (2013) Kobe Bryant 38.6% (2003)

better mid range jumper:
LeBron James 2013 41.7% Kobe Bryant 2010 42.5%

better basketball iq
LeBron top 10 in turnovers 9 times, top 10 in assists 6 times. Kobe Bryant top 10 in turnovers 9 times, top 10 in assists 0 times. LeBron James, career 49% from the field, Kobe Bryant career 45.5%.

better footwork

LeBron James career 1.9 personal fouls for career. Career low 1.4 (2013)
Kobe Bryant career 2.6 personal fouls. Career low 1.4 (1997, as Eddie Jones backup of course)

better post game

LeBron James- 75.6% FG at rim (2013) Kobe Bryant 69.3 %FG (2013)

better handles

LeBron James career 6.9 ast per game, good for 28th all time average. Kobe Bryant, 4.8 ast per game. Also see turnovers.

better defender

LeBron has more steals and blocks per game on less personal fouls. Kobe ran away from guarding Pierce or Allen in 2008, so we really have to dial in on "prime defense" Kobe. Yeah. No guarding Derrick Rose for him. No no.

better leader

Last 3 seasons with LeBron James Cavs-69.9% winning percentage
Last 3 seaons without LeBron James- 27.8 winning percentage

Last 3 seasons without LeBron James-Heat 42.6% winning percentage
Last 3 seasons with LeBron James- 73.9 winning percentage

Making for a 69.5 winning percentage over the last 6 years. Making for a better winning % than Kobe's 67.6% win percentage for the seasons with Pau Gasol, and of course his 49.1 win % as his teams best player pre Gasol. LeBron has never missed the playoffs in his prime, as Kobe did in 2005 at age 27. Leadership.

Glad you didnt say Kobes a better scorer

Youngest player to score 20,000 points: (29 years, 122 days)[56]

Chamberlain (29 years, 134 days),[56] Michael Jordan (29 years, 326 days),[58] Bryant, and James are the only four players to reach the milestone under the age of 30.
Youngest player to score 18,000 points: (28 years, 156 days)
Surpassed by LeBron James (27 years, 35 days) on February 3, 2012.
Youngest player to score 15,000 points: (27 years, 136 days)[59]
Surpassed by LeBron James (25 years, 79 days) on March 19, 2010[60]

Surpassed by LeBron James (23 years, 59 days) on February 27, 2008[62]

Way more clutch:

Kobe Bryant 7/27 in playoff game winners. LeBron James 6/14. LeBron James is the NBA all time leader in points per game in Elimination games, Facing elimination games and Game 7. He of course outclasses Kobe's playoff numbers as well as stated in a previous post.

This is EXACTLY the shyt I'm talking about, nikkas taking numbers and trying to apply it to every aspect of basketball.

Kobe is a better shooter, has better footwork, is better in the post, and has better handles. The shyt is pretty much universally known in NBA circles.

The defender could be debatable, Kobe was one of the best 1 on 1 defenders in the league when he didn't have so much responsibility offensively.

And the assist thing is stupid because Kobe is a scorer and that's been his job since hitting the league. But he even shut the theory that he couldn't average at least 8 or 9 assts a game, this year when Nash got hurt. He was throwing around double digit assist games like it wasn't nothing.

People in here are still holding onto stupid arguments so I'm gonma go over the ones that I saw.

-Kobe has less attempted FG per game because of his first few seasons as a bench warmer while also playing 2nd fiddle to Shaq. Lebron came into the league and was instantly a first option. It's the same reason why Lebron's first ten years crap all over Kobe.

-Lebron's high FG% includes him doing things like shooting 3s, jumpers, and the like. He's able to get into the paint at will and score many more PPG than someone like Chandler or Jordan despite also being the primary playmaker. You might have an argument if Lebron didn't also average more rebounds, less turnovers, and was the primary playmaker for the Heat whereas Kobe's only goal is to score.

-Kobe is a better shooter, had a better post game, and better footwork than Lebron but here's the thing...Lebron doesn't fukking need that stuff to be better than Kobe because he's still just as effective as Kobe is DESPITE those strebgths because he's a 6'8 athletic freak who can get into the paint at will and punish people with passing. You might have a point if Kobe posted a significantly higher amount of PPG on lower efficiency (35 PPG on 45% is better than 20 PPG on 51%) but Kobe literally averages 5 more PPG on a much lower efficiency. Kobe literally shot the ball 6 more times than Lebron and had a paltry 5 more points to show for it while also averaging less assists and steals.

Being a more skilled scorer doesn't make you a more effective scorer which is why Brook Lopez isn't better than Shaq or why Melo isn't better than Lebron. For all of Kobe's superiority in footwork, post-game, and shooting...it puts him at the same level that Lebron's natural physical dominance does.

-Lebron is still a better passer, better defender, better rebounder, better playmaker, has better court vision, is better at drawing fouls, better at finishing through contact, faster, stronger, and all around more dominant than Kobe.

Again, you complain all you want but Lebron puts up a similar PPG, across a season, as Kobe but with higher efficiency while also averaging more assists and steals over his entire career than Kobe can do in his best seasons for those categories. Lebron's ability allows him to be his teams best scorer, rebounder, passer, defender, and primary playmaker in a game.

You think by me saying Lebron is the more dominant player means that Kobe is bad but it doesn't. Kobe is the 2nd best SG of all time, one of the most skilled scorers to every touch a basketball, and has unbreakable mental will. He is the more polished and refined scorer out of him and Lebron.

But that doesn't matter because Lebron's physical gifts make him just as effective as Kobe. Lebron doesn't need to create space with his handles like Kobe does because his first step, strength, and balance allow him to get to the rim at will. Lebron doesn't need all of Kobe's post-moves because he can back down most people who guard him with ease and finish over them. Lebron doesn't need to be as good at shooting contested jumpers as Kobe because he's too good at getting into the paint and passing.

And Kobe's basketball IQ is not better than Lebron's. That's stupid. Lebron's basketball IQ is astronomical and allows him to control an entire game without scoring a point. Lebron understands rotations, defensive scheming, floor sets, spacing, and The likes at levels that are reserved for top-tier PGs. It's why Lebron is better offensive player than someone like Durant despite Durant being better scorer. It's also why no team will ever send hard doubles in Lebron because he easily has the ability to murder you with his passing and vision.

You talk about "understanding basketball and anyone who watches the game" but you don't seem to understand all of Lebron's strebgths and the impact he has on the floor. You look at single month sample sizes rather than a consistent body of work.

Kobe is a more prolific scorer with the ability for huge scoring explosions. Lebron is a more efficient and consistent scorer whole being a better passer and having better court vision.

take brook lopez's best season and his scoring numbers are still nowhere near shaq's numbers in his prime...take kobe's best season and lebron isnt even close in terms of scoring. the brook lopez-shaq analogy is an incredibly dumb one, and i hope u realized that without me having to point that out.
