Prime Tim Mathews > both of them.
Prime Tim Mathews > both of them.
The fukk?
They're both primary perimeter players who score similar amounts so why can't you compare FG%?
Are you high? We can't compare Durant and Kobe either?
Lebron plays the position of PG/SG//SF/PF at the same time because of his freakish versatility and athletic ability.
The fact of the matter is this, Lebron can play more positions than Kobe and, of he needs to, he can score just as many points as Kobe on 7 less attempts.
Someone that actually watches games?![]()
Welcome to the 'seum.....![]()
C'mon, I respect Kobe, appreciate his game and contributions, and even respect the Laker/Kobe stans on here, but c'mon now, 'Bron got this. I'm not even a fan of his, but I see what is, and probably what will become of his legacy. We gotta get past bein' fans of teams, and bein' fans of basketball, and appreciatin' greatness when we see it. Same w/ Kobe
because lebron is pass-first shoot-second and a majority of his shots are open dunks at the rim.......what dont u understand?

Kobe Bean Bryant is an outside threat. He’s a great shooter. Therefore the defensive coverage is different for him. The rule of thumb is not allowing a shooter to get a clean look at the rim or the square on the backboard. Defenders keep the pressure on Kobe from everywhere. Nobody sags off him because his strength is shooting. As a result, Kobe uses the “fadeaway” to create space between him and the defender(s). Now I agree Kobe doesn't shoot contested “fadeaways” because he likes them more. If he was given a choice, he would always choose a shot that allows him to square up, get an unobstructed look at his target, and shoot on balance.KobE is a good shooter on good percentage. Lebron is simply better because he's a GOAT-tier at finishing at the rim and an elite slasher. Kobe is a better shooter but Kobe has to take more difficult shots because he isn't an athletic anomaly like Lebron who gets to the rim at will and is impossible to stop.
Lebron is comparable at scoring because he's better at the most efficient area at basketball and he's one of the only perimeter players who can get there at will. That's what you people don't realize. Any player in the world would go for the easier to convert shot of they could. Kobe doesn't shoot contested fadeaways because he likes them more. He does it because it's what he has available.
Jordan didn't develop a midrange game because he didn't like slashing. He dot because he was getting older and wasn't as explosive as he was in his younger days plus just being a slasher wasn't gonna win against better defenses when they locked the paint especially in the playoffs.
Lebron is simply a Wilt/Jordan/Shaq level athlete. He's blessed with an insane combination of size, speed, strebgths, jumping ability, and balance while having great court vision and insane BBALL IQ. You got a Magic/Bird-lite in vision with MJ-lite speed with a 40 inch vertical and Karl Malone-esquire strength.
Lebron is so dominant because he's a perimeter player with the ability to impact the game like either a big man or a PG at will. It's why 95% of the GOAT lists are filled with big men because they tend to be the most impactful players on the floor.

For LeBron James, he is not a threat from the outside. He's not consistent. Smart defenders are still sagging off of him and making him beat them strictly from the outside. LeBron strengths are in his passing and him being a monster when he goes to the rim. He is nearly unstoppable.
You're proving my point. Defenders aren't as worried about Kobe's slashing and finishing so they play him tighter. Lebron blows past top-tier perimeter defenders if they play him closely.
Lebron isn't as good a shooter as Kobe but he's just as effective a scorer and he's easily a better offensive player when you add in passing, vision, and playmaking.
You play Lebron off and you give him a chance to game 7 you while conserving his energy to shut down players like Tony Parker. You play him right and he'll blow past you and get your bigs in foul trouble or score at will.
You must be talking about "Grandpa" Kobe. Because Kobe in his prime. You're proving my point. Defenders aren't as worried about Kobe's slashing and finishing so they play him tighter. Lebron blows past top-tier perimeter defenders if they play him closely.
