Prime Paul pierce Or Current Melo?

Pierce who was with Antoine ? Naw I would pick Melo . The east was so weak and he had free reign on that offense . And when are we saying is Melos prime ? Now ? Melo isn't flabby and sick yet so he could even better still

and that Celtics team that had pierce and walker was garbage, the only reason they won any games at all was because of pierce. toine was terrible

Melo wouldn't have won shyt with KG and Allen. Imagine KG trying to help out Melo's defense? He would have looked at KG like and the Celts would have lost to the Lakers. Kobe would have outplayed Melo on both ends. Only biased Knick fans would take Melo in that spot

Pierce literally did everything better. Better passer, playmaker, shooter, footwork, mid range, long ball, drawing fouls, defender. Melo is just a scorer and Pierce was just as good at it.

Melo has more free throw attempts per game for his career, better FG percentage, better scorer, better rebounder, better post game, never missed the playoffs, better international career, more all NBA selections even though Pierce has 5 seasons on him.

I see what y'all are trying to do here anyway. Melo about to sweep the Celtics, won a scoring title, led the Knicks to 50 plus wins but still trying to find an angle to discredit him. Keep trying

We are talking PRIME Paul Pierce here. We aren't talking careers. Pierce has him beat in all those categories that I listed.

Pierce has always been a much better defender than Carmelo Anthony. Even before Thibs was there he was an above average defender.

But they don't need melo to be great defensively to win that chip, Just average. Current Melo is not a liability on defense. Plus Current Melo>>>>>08' Pierce by a big margin. Heck 08' Melo>08' Pierce

Pierce easily, and that's no slight to Melo who is beasting right now, but P did everything better than Melo except scoring which he was very close to Melo in. Alot of people here obviously never watched the Celtics during Pierce's prime, talking like he was in his prime in 08
