the answer is Melo.

guys here are overrated Pierce a bit. He was never all that.

he can only put up great numbers on teams that had no chances of winning.

The West was stacked though. It's not like he lost to teams that were significantly worse than him. Plus I blame a lot of that on Allen Iverson and him not being able to co-exist with Melo and lack of talent. You and I both know those Celtics teams that got swept by Boston and Miami didnt have nowhere near the talent to compete with those squads

You saw that when he got a true legit PG and sidekick in Chauncey they went to the Conference Finals and now with a complete team around him he led them to 54 wins

It's not about him just losing the series.

He's been in what? 10 postseasons right?

He's been swept in 3 and lost in 5 in 4 series. That's 7 years where he couldn't even get his teams to a game 6. And I call bullshyt to you or anyone else who says those Denver squads all were inferior to the point of going out in 4 or 5 games all those years.

:what:

And Melo's been swept 3 times in the postseason, and he's gone out in 5 in 4 postseasons...

I understand the argument that his team wasn't up to par, but damn. He was going home quick when he got to the playoffs. And it's not like he didn't have any talent around him during these runs.

So being on 6 teams that were 10 or more games below 500 is equivalent to getting swept in the playoffs? :heh:

Melo, Pierce was nice back then, always remember him being a tier-2 player in the early 2000s

:what:

The same Carmelo Anthony that couldn't score on Luke Walton and Vlad Radmanovic? :what:

:what: This is how you know this dude is trolling with an agenda. Walton and Radmanovic never guarded Melo in that series. It was either Ariza or Kobe for the entire series. I don't think Walton even got any minutes period.

Find me a single play showing Walton or Radmanovic guarding him.

Denver wasnt inferior to san antonio and the Lakers? Those nuggs played san Antonio and la twice in the first round. Every time one of those teams went to the finals. His rookie season he faced mvp kg sam Cassell and sprewell cmon now.

Melo deserves a little blame he is the star. But it aint no way in hell denver was getting by those teams. Even when he played the clippers demar johnson was his second option.

Jeff van gundy went over this last night.

Every series Melo was in but 2 he was the underdog and had no shot of winning.

1 being when they went to the WCF the other I was them losing to Utah in the 4/5 match up. The same san antonio team that swept bron in the finals, beat the nuggs in the first round.

Majority of the series he lost in Denver his team was the inferior squad, it's not like was choking and losing series he was supposed to win

2004 lost to the number 1 seeded 58 win T-Wolves
2005 lost to the number 2 seeded 59 win eventual champ Spurs
2006 lost to a 47 win Clippers team who were 1 shot away from the WCF
2007 lost to the number 3 seed 58 win eventual champ Spurs
2008 lost to the number 1 seed 57 win eventual champ Lakers
2009 went to the WCF and lost to the defending champ Lakers
2010 lost to Utah but George Karl wasnt there for the postseason

I mean out of all those squads his Nuggets teams were the underdog or inferior team. Carmelo gets WAY too much blame for what has happened in his postseason career

:what: @ this idiot bringing up 2009. We are talking about 2008 JACKASS. Ariza was out for the whole playoff run fool. Vlad and Walton were the primary defenders on Melo.

Sit your dumbass down.

:pachaha: @ how selective of a sample you've got to use to make this argument seem coherent at all. So you ignore the series in the very following season to make an argument against Melo? The fukk?

:what:

Did you see the post I quoted? I wasn't the one that brought up 2008. :comeon:

Outside of game 1 Melo was garbage vs the Lakers in 09 too.
