Those "squads" were nothing more than a clusterfukk of shooters and scorers on the floor. His Nuggets teams didnt get beat by inferior teams outside of maybe the 2006 Clippers who were basically even but had better chemistry and balance with Cassell, Brand, Kaman and co.

I'll agree and say that 2009 Nuggets team is just as good as this current Knicks squad and they went to the Conference Finals. But those teams before 2009 are not as good.
This Knicks team won 54 games, Melo's Denver squads werent a 50 win team until 2008.

I think Melo will prove his worth this year. He's been phenomenal so far against the Celtics (who IMO have the best defenders at the 3 in the league). This is a team that even gives LeBron some trouble so I've been very impressed.
I think we're headed for a Heat vs. Knicks ECF. If Melo beats Bron then there is no question. He's way better than Pierce.
