After doing some research..

It's not a scam. It's fukking sales and the pay is based on commissions. Nothing wrong with that if that's your thing. High Risk, High Reward. If you not a hustler like that, then don't sign up.

Ironically, the structure of how they operate isn't that much different than a normal insurance agency. You have the owner, and then agents under him/her that do a lot of the work and earn the sales, and the comissions get shared and everything like that.

They just take it to another level w/ the MLM thing, which gave them the bad rep. Plus their products are :scusthov: if you really look into things.

I remember years ago being at our local large mall, I was dressed down with a shoulder bag on waiting for my boy and I got approached by two of them fools there. The girl was kind of cute, but I passed them two of my business cards and said "When you want to actually make money and sell legit insurance, call me" and kept it moving.

Primerica and all of those insurance companies get money by over saturating markets with sales reps. And there are no rules so you will not only by competing with rival companies for business but other fellow sales reps. It's really about using people.

MLMs are the like the drug game. If you don't have the clientele say hell no.

It's only profitable to people who already have strong networks and influence to pull people in.

If you get involved and then are searching for people to join your network, you have already failed.

shyts all bad, a big ass waist of time. They're going to tell you all this great stuff you can do then ask you for money. Run away and smack your friend for dragging you there.

This, I got bamboozled by a recruiter to attend a meeting in the early 2000's. Total waste of time and they hit u up for money at them end :rudy:

Anytime u gotta pay up money in the beginning to get a job it's a scam. Real jobs will pay for your training. Not vice versa.

I don't know anything about Primerica specifically, but a lot of these schemes trick folk by framing it as them "buying into the business"

However anytime you have to pay to join AND it's clear that they make more money off getting new employees (or bosses:rolleyes:) then it's def a pyramid scheme.

They think of it like paying a franchise fee, but remember, McDonalds heavily controls who it chooses to sell its franchise too...not only do they put forth a great deal of effort in making sure you're capable of running that restaurant and they wouldn't sell another franchise to the guy across the street (unless the market warranted it), cuz they're interested in seeing food not franchises. Schemes like these are about signing up as many people as possible....no care to people's qualifications nor market saturation.

The reason you're paying to sign up is because you're becoming one of their customers, and you don't even know about it.

And these things make residual income because they are paid monthly. So whether or not you sign anybody else up, they still make money off of you. You are the only one losing.

You will lose money if you don't have the clientele.

I was introduced to Primerica by somebody but I can't remember exactly which MLM scam it was. There's so many.

My mother in-law booked one of these bullshyt ass meetings at my house just last month. Her friend was doing and I was thinking like a women's Avon party or some shyt. Then I see this big Michael Clark Duncan looking dude come in and knew right away this wasn't a tupperware party.

I'm hip to it all but I ain't wanna shyt on him in front of everybody but as everybody left and it was just my wife and mother in-law left and he was still trying to solicit I had to call him on his bullshyt.

This particular company "sold" coffee. I asked him how much money he made "selling coffee".

He was like :dwillhuh: "Well... I make almost all of my money through my memberships."

That's how it works. The "product" always changes but it's the same business plan. The customer is you and the real product is the bogus ass membership you bout to drop your bread on. Oh yeah they give you a chance to get it back, just get more suckers like you to give us their money too.

any of you remember excel telecommunications? I did get snatched into this when I was 18:dwillhuh:

we were having some 'party' where we call 10 people try and get them to sign up to the company's long distance plan. if they signed up they'd get a 6 number/letter combo

first to get 10 would get a hundred. i claimed I got 13 and got the hundred.

never showed my face there again:whew:

I remember I took my boy to a job interview about 2 years ago.Its about 45 minutes out of our way.He went inside a building and didn't come out for about a hour.I walked around Target & Menards and waited for him to call me.He never called. So I went in the building and followed the arrows made out of PAPER  to the office he was in.I knocked on the door and a some latin cat opened the door.My boy seen me and walked up like give me like 5 minutes.Cool.He comes to the car like :gladbron: I got the job.I jump on the e way and he telling me how he paid $100 and he about to sell fire extinguishers.

I just sit there like :leostare:.

Yo fam, in 2002 I got the same damn job when I was living in San Diego!!!!!!!

It was for a manager position and they tell you that u will have your own office and sales reps. But first you has to prove yourself buy selling a certain amount of product first I think like $3000 worth. Yo I gave up after a month and $340 in sales.
