Didn't mean just lyrics, overall, if it was by just lyrics would definitely be closer.
It disappoints me when Lupe does that gibberish rap stuff or the pseudo intellectual raps because he doesn't need to do it. He is capable of making complex content filled ill shyt, that other shyt is off putting. Just feels pointless and boring, needs to be focused.

thing is is that...i grew up on prime Lupe, while Prodigy was already on the decline by the time i was cognizant of hip hop. I wanna say the first time i heard him was The Learning. So i gravitate more towards Lupe and his skill, perhaps subconsciously. It's not just technical skill but the insanely witty lines that he had.
i will say The Infamous is better than any Lupe album though, and that Prodigy is more accessible and personal than Lupe.

you really cant compare a nikka who's best lyric is "I'll throw a TV at you crazy" to a nikka like L-U-P Emperor. Candle in the sun... that shyt dont even out.
