first few years of your business, you're going to be doing the work of:

- a manager
- a worker
- an intern
- a secretary
- an accountant
- your own therapist

Breh. Not only that but you have to have the perfect balance and out of this world vision for the direction of your company in order for it to flourish. E-Myth by Michael Gerber is a good book that details why most businesses fail.

That's more of a supervisor role. I'm talking about Management that hires his/her own talent/team. If they make your job harder then they're not a good fit for the position and they gotta go.

You'd be surprised at the title juking in private sector and smaller businesses. Call you a manager then dump all types of responsibilities unfitting of a manager on you. Sure, you get the pay and benefits but if you can't fire the mother fukkers, what's the point?

You're right though, I damn sure wasn't responsible for hiring. That was the "senior/regional manager". Damn, I was a glorified supervisor.

If I were to get a job making 40K a year, you better believe 30k of that will be saved cause I'm staying with my folks to stack, then I'm starting my own shyt. I'm aware not everyone has the luxury to stay with their fam and stack, but I do.

If you been working a job for 5+ years aint no excuse to not to save up some guap and venture off into your own shyt...... but not everyone wants to be a entrepreneur thats understandable too.... but me I just cant see myself busting my ass daily for years to make another white mother fukker rich.

Im not good at kissing ass, and I will not go beyond the call of duty for some shyt that I dont own.

Several reasons for me:
-I don't have a "powerful social circle" to network.
-The location I am in currently is small, zero opportunities unless you work in education and healthcare (I'm in neither field), and it just sucks here.
-Employers won't give me a chance, but tell you have to have management's experience. Okay, I understand that, but HOW are you supposed to get that experience without a job first? I have the job experience, education, and skillset, so what's the problem? I asked every employer why they didn't hire me so I know what to fix for future job positions and none can give me a logical answer.
-I don't mean to be "that person," but racism plays a huge factor as well. Society doesn't not like to see Black people in positions in power. Just the truth.
-Economic hardships...I can't change the economy, just trying to survive it. That's out of anybody's control.
-I have horrible luck in general.

Best way to get ahead in your career is to move around within a company. Companies are way less willing to take risks on outsiders than people already in the company

And try and have a positive attitude. People make their own luck.

If you ever got a paycheck or paid your own bills, you'd know saving 30K out of 40K is fukking impossible. Off the rip Uncle Sam is probably taking 10K. Then you have to pay rent, a car note, bills and buy food. If u live in Bumfukk, OK you will still probably have to spend like another 10-15K just to live and work. So at best we are prob talking like 15K a year saved up, living a very no frills shytty life.

All that "do for self shyt" sounds good until nikkas expose themselves. Don't tell nikkas to do shyt you haven't done yourself bruh.

My point is you have to get that start up money from somewhere. Typically a job of some sort.

just dont feel ready yet, dont think ive put in much work, i hhave slacked a lot in the last two years, i have the brain and talent but can be very lazy, these past few months hhas been a real kick in thhe bum for me to apply pressure and do better.
