The unfortunate thing is looking back, Mangini was actually that type of guy...he just was too much of a douche. The good thing about Mangini though was he told Woody to get the fukk out of the way and let the football ppl make football decisions. And obviously Manigni had a pretty decent eye for talent. Need a guy like that with better ppl skills...Woody wants to meddle and that basically burned all bridges with Mangini.

It's no shock the teams results have nosedived the farther you get away from the Mangini regime.
He built the foundation for the championship game runs. He just had no tact with the veteran players. But his best quality was that he knew Woody was a boob lol.

I don't know if Kubiak's heart can take the stress but he did develop Schaub into a decent QB for a suitably long time and is doing a very good job in Baltimore. I prefer Hue Jackson if only because he never had his QB implode on him however.

The media talking Harbaugh out of SF has been pretty interesting, but if you do get em, you'll have to trade for em.
It'd be a big move, but you do what it takes to get a proven coach who knows how to build a program. I do think Harbaugh is nuts though.

He'd be the head of the football operation obviously. Jets need to decide if they want to hand over the reigns to a big time GM and have him hand pick a young coach or just go out and get a proven big time coach. A lot of these good teams dont even have GM's.
