Yes, however Rex has not been able to retain his good coaches. Pettine, Sutton, Westhoff etc. All moved on. I dont think Rex has the ability to put together a quality staff. He's got his drinking buddies as coordinators.

Not only that, it's 1 thing to not be good at both sides of the ball, Rex seems to know less than your average fan does about offense

Marty is a poor offensive coordinator. He wasn't good in Philly. Desean Jackson, 2010 Vick and McCoy were the reasons Philly's offence put points. Jackson and McCoy can operate in any system and make any coordinator look better than they are. Hue Jackson is what we need in NYJ.

That's what the papers here are saying. I dunno, If I'm Idzik and things have gotten to that point why didn't he just fire Rex during the bye?

He should have fired Rex a while ago, but that's another story all-together as Rex should have been done after year 4.

But when you look at it, yesterday all the word was Vick is starting, now today it's Geno's job.

We know who wants Geno and we know who wanted Vick. And we all know Vick is the supposed win now QB, when in reality, he aint any more win now than Geno is

That I can agree with. Why bother bring back Rex? It's not like he made the playoffs, hell the new Bears GM fired Lovie after a 10-6 season. It's just what you do, the new GM picks his guy.

It's a big mess from the very top all the way down. The first person that needs to go is Bradway. Look at the Jets drafts since 2008 to now. shyt is :scust:

The worst thing that can happen is geno plays well, shows "promise" to end the season and they use it as an excuse not to get a qb in the offseason

Although this is true, the situation is a bit different.

The Bears were supposed to be contenders, yet they made a habit of not only missing the playoffs, but choking down the stretch. And in Lovie's last season with the Bears, yes they did finish 10-6. But don't forget, they actually started the season 7-1. Then proceed to choke down the stretch once again by losing 5 of their last 8 games and once again missing the playoffs. That's just completely unacceptable and there's no way you can justify keeping the HC after that.

This Jets team last year had 0 expectations. In fact, they were expected to be one of worst teams in the league. And they ended up overachieving and went 8-8. You'd be hard pressed to fire Rex after that season without having some criticism come your way

I been saying dude should be fired forever.

And then you look back, and look at all the coaching candidates you missed giving this fat idiot the longest leash in NY football history.

Pagano
Kelly
Arians
McCoy
O'Brien
Philbin

Just to name a few

you're making a major assumption that

a) Idzik was gonna hire them and

b) that they were gonna be interested in inheriting this situation, then and in hindsight.

You're making the assumption I was talking about the Idzik era.

I meant Rex should have been fired after his fourth season, and then you could have had a shot at some of those coaches

Idk, bro. He showed a lot of promise and potential, but idk that he's the dude for us. The turnovers and stuff have been too much imo.

This is only his second year. He has a line and poor weapons. Give him a chance. :what:
