damn so theres no chance of moving up now or are we stuck at 6? whats best case scenario?
Here I'll break it down for you...

1) Bucs (2-12)
2) Titans (2-12)
3) Jaguars (2-12)
4) Raiders (2-12)
5) Redskins (3-11)

Mind you, all of these teams have a weaker schedule than us with the exception of the Raiders, which means we'll lose all the tiebreakers. Meaning teams have to get a better record than us, no same records. Not happening.

Here's the remaining 2 games for each team...

Bucs - Packers and Saints. They won't beat either. They're basically a lock for the #1 pick.

Titans - Jags and Colts. Believe it or not, they could win both games. The Jags game is a winnable one. And the Colts already have their division locked up, so there's a good chance they rest their starters.

Jaguars - Titans and Texans. The Tennessee game is 50/50. I think they lose to Houston though, but you never know.

Raiders - Bills and Broncos. Doubt they beat the Bills and the Broncos will be fighting for home field advantage so that's an L.

Redskins - Eagles and Cowboys. Both teams are fighting for a playoff spot, so that's 2 Ls right there. However, since those are 2 good teams, that could possibly push their strength of schedule past ours.

So it's possible we could move up 1 spot, maybe 2 if things really go our way. I still think we stay put at 6

mortgage the future of your franchise to get a insignificant win in tennesse brehs...only the jets

i dont get it. i mean i know it would be nice to have the number 1 pick, but do people honestly expect a team of professional athletes to go out there and lose on purpose?

if it means having a guy like cooper who will be a beast for us for years to come, why not?

the negatives outweigh the positives here

yea but think about the players themselves. they are pro athletes and have been trying to win every game and every single competitive thing they have ever taken place in. who is gonna convince them to just go out there and give away the game for some unproven college kid they might not even play with the next year. its not gonna happen.

That's exactly it. The players want to win. They're not going to tank games; Pryor and Richardson basically said as much after the game. Their careers are so short, they don't worry about that stuff.

"They're not real fans," said safety Calvin Pryor, the Jets' first-round draft pick this year. "The object of the game is to win, and that's what we're going to try to do. We can't worry about draft picks or anything like that. We have a season to focus on. We have two more games left, and we're going to try to win them."

Defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson, one of the Jets' two first-round picks in 2013, echoed those sentiments.

"They're not my fans, bro," Richardson said.

These guys simply are not going to lay down; even if it's in the best long term interest of the franchise.

You can't ask players to go out and give less than 100%.

Nice to see Geno discover that you can throw the ball with touch if you try. :childplease:

I understand players wanting to win, but please shut the fukk up with that real fan shyt :camby:

Agree with you guys. And I like Pryor, but he really ought to concentrate on making plays right now. I can understand Richardson saying that because he puts it all on the field each and every time. Same way I can respect that they want to go out there and win each and every game and they don't want to lie down and die, same way they gotta respect that they were flatout awful this season and fans want a change.

im not gonna go as far as to question people's level of fanhood(or fandom whatever the word), but ya gotta understand why they feel that way. they catch shyt all season for losing n then they win and those same fans are mad they won. they dont give a shyt about the draft. all they see if jets fans mad at them for winning. that would piss me off as a player too.

People who think tanking involves players are stupid. Why would they purposely lose games to get a high pick who could possibly take their job?

Now we have to hope Jameis' fukk ups cause him to fall to us :mjcry:
