man fukk this article. i know they are trying to be funny, but since so much of it is true it hurts.

has me questioning whether i will continue being a jets fan if we have another shytty season

http://deadspin.com/why-your-team-sucks-2014-new-york-jets-1627942862/all

"The apparently unfireable Jeremy Kerley returns as the #2 wideout. Is it possible to be covered by fifteen men on a single play? Decker is about to find out."

"To challenge Geno, the Jets brought in a bunch of TSA security guards. ZING. No, they brought in Michael Vick, who was destined to become a Jet at this point in his career. Now here's the fun part: The Jets have already anonymously complained about Vick not giving enough fukks to beat out Geno for the job. You're not supposed to start leaking shyt like that until you start off 0-7."

"Geno Smith, who became demonstrably worse as last season went on. After Week 6, Geno threw for six TDs and 13 INTs. How do you regress when you have no starting point to regress from? Only Geno Smith can pull that off."

"The whole franchise should be nuked. Everything they touch turns to shyt. Patterson vanishes. Favre comes to the Jets for one year and he starts sending dikk pics. The only good thing to happen to this team in the offseason is that Mark Sanchez left, and somehow that guy became the hottest backup QB in football this preseason. MARK SANCHEZ!"

I am kind of more worried about the D then I am the offense. I think the additions of Decker\Jace\CJ are all positives. None are game changers alone, but definitely some much needed weapons.
The defense, particularly the secondary, is where Idzik wiffed. Look like a bunch of stiffs on paper. Hoping they will prove me wrong though :manny:

I do think we sat back and watch FA unfold without really making any big moves. Decker is fine, but as said above he is a solid #2 and don't think he will flourish as a #1.
Could have had Nicks, Britt, Jackson ar WR, on short money (sans DeSean maybe) but no fukks given to the CB position over FA will be the downfall of this team IMO.
Jets still have no speed at LB outside of Davis. We did NOTHING to address that and our aging o-line. But the "we aren't mortgaging our future" crowd can't even question Idzik.

Decker is a great route runner, decent speed and could potentially be a low end #1. He's not Jordy Nelson though. We need Salas to step up or draft another receiver a la Amari Cooper.

Have you seen the late drafts from last season? That Saunders selection still baffles me. I don't care that he went to my school...he's a midget and weighs 160 pounds when Ellington was available. Evans is so "ehhh" and I called Boyd out since he was I. Clemson and played like complete shyt at the Senior Bowl. Just wasted selections. Only late picks worth a damn are Dozier & IK.
If dozier and ik and at least one if the three wrs become solid starters one day or even good back ups whats to complain about?

No gm in nfl history hits every first round pick, let alone the late round picks.

Either way how about we actually let them play and develop before casting judgement. We dont know what kind of draft we had last year yet, let alone this year. If geno and milliner break out into great players and sheldon continues to get better and winters or aboushi blossom into solid o line that draft could be amazing. Or maybe theyll all regress and the draft will be shyt.

Point is its way too early to say.

Marty is overrated. Kelly's system is the premium grade and Marty's pales in comparison. Vick and Foles weren't all-world under his system in Philly either. Desean Jackson did more to help that system than the other way around. Geno's only above average receiver is Decker and Kerley, who are at best high end move-the-chain possession receivers. Every other receiver is average to below average.

I seen how Chip had Sanchez looking great, and I then started wondering about Marty. I mean its not like Eagles offense has great receivers, they might have great tight ends, but someone is always open in this scheme. I seen Sanchez throwing to his 3rd read, side-stepping pressure, and throwing passes I never seen from him.

Daps though.

Idzik had a plethora of picks. Any normal GM will hit when he gets to pick that many players. As of right now, my thinking is that Idzik wasted a litany of picks on UDFAs while getting lucky with Dozier and IK. That aside, we don't need Idzik to hit on first round defensive picks. We drafted Sheldon Richardson, DPOY, without Idzik. Rex could very well have drafted Pryor without any GM's input. Idzik should be judged on picks that are outside the Jets' pattern of success because then we'll know how good he really is at judging talent. Otherwise we can't be sure if Idzik is just leaning on the Jets' scouting and coaching.

This team was left devoid of talent at basically every single position by tanny. Its like you guys expect idzik to snap his fingers and fix everything all at once.

We just unburdened ourselves of a bunch of shytty contracts. Year 1 basically all idzik could do was clean up all of tannys messes. We had zero cap space last year. And the first thing you guys want him to do is load up on another albatross contract for a cb like you didnt just watch the team ruin itself by making those exact same moves.:mjlol:

How did we draft sheldon without idzik, hes the one who drafted him. Using the pick from the trade idzik made.

Anyway its way too early to say what we have as far as draft picks.

But the talent and depth we have now is leagues better then when he first started.

Some people refuse to believe Geno can and/or will improve. They haven't paid attention to his development and so are ignorant of any progression. In college, Geno showed great pocket presence at times and he is fluid. He had a good arm that now is even better. In the right system, I think his play style can resemble Aaron Rodger's.

Exaggerations are annoying as hell. What corner would have mortgaged the Jets future? Name him and who I wanted. Name the exact move I wanted.

These cacs refuse to believe Geno can and/or will improve. They think his potential is Aaron Brooks.

I want best for Geno, but I just don't see it happening under Rex Ryan. Dude doesn't give a fukk about offense. And seems like coaches have taught Geno if it isn't there, run. I don't think that's good all the time. They need help him step up in pocket and not be scared of pressure.

Exaggerations are definitely annoying. You know like judging our o line on a few series of the first preseason game, or judging late round draft picks that havent played a snap yet.:sas2:

Why dont YOU name the corner you wanted, then link a post of yours before free agency saying you wanted him. Its easy to say we should have done something and not offer up a solution.:sas1:

Isn't it more accurate that he got better in the last 4 games?

Because as I recall he was up and down with shytty performances to decent ones throughout the season
There was a general incline in his play after week 6...not worse as that article suggested.
