In both instances for XB1 and PS4, wait until after conference. I'm taking a lunch break around the end of the MS conference and since I teach on MWF, I'm going back to the GS after class for the PS4.

That was the price given for it, for the preorder. I'm ready, I'm putting $200 on each on when they give final pricing, I'll do the rest and start worrying about games and controllers.

I've never got one on launch either but I went with my friend to the PS3 launch at Target. There were no pre-orders but you had to line up like on some Black Friday shyt PS3 shipped a low number of consoles if I remember correctly and the Wii too.

When I got the 360 day one, there were about ~50~ there. The PS3 on day one, I was one of 8. I suspect more to the 50 than the 8, but I'm not taking any chances.

Every console except for the Wii-U had shortage issues. I can assure you that the ps4 will not only be limited. Its likely not to launch in the US til 2014. Even if they tell you that much today, its not launching in the US this year. They have to sell that dream in there own minds so that gamers don't hop on xbox's bandwagon. At best there will be less than a million units ready for the US this year. But thats wishful thinking...
