Elzhi is the only one on that list that is a superior MC to Freddie, and he hasn't dropped shyt in years, bar 'Elmatic'. And I like most of the MCs on that list.

no disrespect to thread starter, but this whole thread is bs...i guess that is a little disrespectful...my bad homie. gibbs, is actually in a great place as an artist, especially for the type of music he makes. he's steadily grown his fanbase through the great moves his manager has made, whom i talked to a couple of times...cool dude. i thought the jeezy signing was a bad idea, but it really hasn't hurt him bc he still does shyt without jeezy like projects with madlib and upcoming projects with drama, ski beatz, alchemist, and more plus endorsements, sponsor, and show money. he may not be headlining shows or doing as well as bronson, who has a little more of push behind him and a little bigger manager from my understanding of things. however, he's doing a lot better than most artist, especially considering the type of music he makes. he's one of most skilled gangster rappers and he ain't never going to blow with that shyt really. he doesn't really make big hits like a jeezy, but he's a better artist than jeezy. so in that space he's more than likely ain't gonna ever have mainstream appeal. he's moreso going to go in the action bronson lane. nikkas, need to understand how the music is changing and what the fukk sells these days.

Gibbs is nice, I just dont see him as some top-tier emcee.. I think their both(him and Sha) on the same level.. they both make really dope introspective songs.. but as you said- to each their own..

gibbs isn't a TOP tier lyricist, i'd say a solid B (if someone like rakim/pun/kool g is an A+)

but his flow is top notch, and i'd say he's one of the last of the true "gangsta" rappers out that can actually spit

i grew up on that gangsta stuff, so i guess that's why i like it so much and despise the new trend of gay rappers
